    Abstract: A molded case circuit breaker includes a switching mechanism and a current-interrupting section. The current-interrupting section is composed of an insulated case, fixed contact shoes arranged diagonally opposite to each other, a bridging rotary contact shoe, a contact shoe holder, and arc extinguishing devices. The fixed contact shoes are composed of linear contact shoe conductors to reduce a height of the section, and the fixed contact shoes are arranged vertically in parallel and opposite each other so that the fixed contact shoes and the rotary contact shoe form a Z-shaped conducting path.
