Abstract: A brake device for a fishing reel in which an adjuster is supported without looseness, and is stably supported irrespective of the braking force, so that the braking force can adjusted finely. In the brake device, a nut member for depressing a brake member against a drive gear to frictionally couple the drive shaft to a handle shaft is non-rotatably and movably fitted in the adjuster which is rotatably supported by the reel main body. Intermediate members are respectively provided between the reel main body and the adjuster and between the adjuster and a handle to prevent the axial movement of the adjuster relative the handle shaft.

Abstract: A drag mechanism for a fishing reel having a spool shaft supported at both the ends thereof. The drag mechanism employs rolling members as drag members so that the durability of the mechanism is enhanced, and the dragging function thereof is kept stable and good for a long time even under severe conditions under which sea water, sand or the like is likely to cling to the mechanism. One of drag member holders is secured to the spool of the reel so as to be rotated together with the spool. The other of the holders is secured to the spool shaft so as to be rotated together therewith. The tapered outside circumferential surface of one of the holders faces the tapered inside circumferential surface of the other of them. The rolling members are fitted in between the tapered surfaces. The drag mechanism can be used to drag the reverse rotation of the spool by frictional resistances to the rolling and sliding of the rolling members.

Abstract: A vehicle door guard bar is formed out of a single plate and comprises an elongated main body portion having one side and an opposite side, a bent portion, and a reinforcement portion joined to the main body portion at the one side thereof via the bent portion and fixed to the main body portion. The bent portion has a tubular cross-section.

Abstract: In a drawing apparatus of the type in which a lower punch slide moves upward to draw a blank clamped between a movable die and a stationary blank holder, an adjustable ram is provided which is electrically driven to move upward and downward for thereby adjusting the bottom dead position of the punch so that the upper end of the punch is made substantially flush with the upper end surface of the blank holder when the punch is in its bottom dead position.
