Patent number: 9172883Abstract: A camera 10 has an imaging optical system, an imaging device 21a, and a finder device 15. The finder device 15 includes a variable magnification lens 64 which can be inserted into and removed from an optical path, and a shutter 62 which can switch between a closed state in which it interrupts light coming from a finder window 16 and an open state in which it allows passage of light coming from the finder window 16. The camera 10 is equipped with a driver 54 for controlling insertion and removal of the variable magnification lens 64 in accordance with the focal length of the imaging optical system, a driver 53 for controlling the state of the shutter 62, and a CPU 82. The CPU 82 controls the shutter 62 so that it is kept in the closed state while the variable magnification lens 64 is being moved.Type: GrantFiled: March 27, 2014Date of Patent: October 27, 2015Assignee: FUJIFILM CorporationInventors: Masayuki Koyanagi, Tadashi Jogetsu

Patent number: 9167158Abstract: According to the preset invention, an optical viewfinder state in which an optical image of a photographic subject can be observed at an eyepiece part of a finder and an electronic viewfinder state in which a captured image of the photographic subject can be observed at the eyepiece part of the finder are switched when a first operation is carried out with a finger by an operation device, and a magnification (optical magnification) of a first finder optical system of the finder is changed when a second operation is carried out with a finger by the operation device in the optical viewfinder state. Thus, a user can perform photographing while freely observing the photographic subject by an operation of switching the finder (first operation) and an operation of changing the optical magnification of the finder (second operation) while looking through the finder.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2014Date of Patent: October 20, 2015Assignee: FUJIFILM CorporationInventors: Tadashi Jogetsu, Takeshi Okubo

Patent number: 9148577Abstract: The information about an interchangeable lens is acquired, and the size of an image capture range, which is the range corresponding to a capture image in an optical image, is calculated based on the information about the interchangeable lens. When the image capture range is smaller than or equal to a range to be shown by the angular field of the optical image, a first image showing the image capture range in the optical image is displayed on a display device, and when the image capture range is larger than the range to be shown by the angular field of the optical image, a second image different from the first image showing the image capture range in the optical image is displayed on the display device such that the second image is superimposed on at least either of the four corner vicinities and four side vicinities of the optical image.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2014Date of Patent: September 29, 2015Assignee: FUJIFILM CorporationInventors: Tadashi Jogetsu, Takeshi Okubo
