  • Patent number: 7155507
Abstract: A scheme for providing environmental information to users is disclosed. In this scheme, environmental information is measured automatically by each of a plurality of environment sensors arranged at a plurality of regions, and the environmental information measured by each environment sensor is collected automatically to a base device, and stored at the base device. Then, the environmental information is processed at the base device according to a user information of an individual user, and processed environmental information is provided from the base device to the individual user through a network connecting the users and the base device.

  • Patent number: 5960761
Abstract: To suitably keep the weight balance of an engine while reducing a radial dimension of the engine. A crank shaft and a transmission shaft are supported in casings and are disposed to be substantially parallel to each other. A rear balancer and a front balancer are disposed with the crank shaft placed therebetween. An AC generator is disposed at an end portion of the crank shaft on the left side with respect to a plane passing through a center of gravity of an engine and being perpendicular to the crank shaft. A clutch is disposed at an end portion of the transmission shaft on the right side with respect to the plane. The clutch is separated from the plane at a distance smaller than that between the AC generator and the plane, so that the weight balance of the engine is suitably maintained by disposing the rear balancer and the front balancer on the clutch side.

  • Patent number: 4551594
Abstract: An oil pressure monitoring system for an engine having an oil pressure switch comprising a piston located in a port associated with the lubricating system of the engine. The piston is biased into the port by means of a spring. Located between the piston and the wall of the port so as to undergo compression with movement of the piston into the port is an elastic, electrical conductor ring. The ring is placed in series in a warning circuit and is so constructed that compression of the ring resulting from a drop in oil pressure within the lubricating system will affect conductivity through the ring to initiate a warning signal.
