  • Publication number: 20030171643
Abstract: Disclosed is a respiration leading system which can leads a living body to respire so that relaxation is effectively induced without any physiological load even if a respiration exercise feedback is not employed. This system comprises a control unit and a sense-stimulating unit. The control unit makes the sense-stimulating unit change the output energy for stimulating a sense of the living body so that the living body is induced to inhale and exhale as a physiological reaction. The energy change is done within the range of a respiration period x(sec) and a parameter y defined as 2 sec<x<12 sec and 0.85<y<1.45 (a region x≦4 sec and y≧1.3 is excluded). The parameter y is a ratio of exhaling time to inhaling time. The energy output in the first half period corresponding to either inhaling or exhaling and the energy output in the latter half corresponding to the other, induce the living body to respire.

  • Patent number: 6611297
Abstract: In an illumination control method of the present invention, illumination of an appreciation space is controlled in association with an image displayed on an image display device so that a realism of the image displayed on a screen of the image display device can be enhanced, where an appreciator appreciating the image is in the appreciation space. More specifically, one or more light sources provided in the appreciation space is controlled so that at least one parameter of a level, a light color, a luminous intensity distribution, and a direction of illumination to the appreciation space is made substantially coincident with a corresponding parameter of a virtual image space imaginarily created from the image displayed on the image display device.

  • Patent number: 6285134
Abstract: In a light irradiation method, a main irradiation section forming a target and a sub irradiation section for providing sub illumination light to or from at least one of a background and a neighborhood of the target are provided, and a perceived brightness of the target is varied by performing time-wise control of an intensity of the sub illumination light emitted by the sub irradiation section. When applied to an illumination system wherein the main irradiation section is an illumination source, or to an indication system wherein the main irradiation section is an indication lamp, a perceived brightness of the illumination source or the indication lamp is decreased by increasing the intensity of the sub illumination light, while increased by decreasing the intensity of the sub illumination light.

  • Patent number: 5990186
Abstract: A polyurethane foam for a sealant is disclosed which is produced from a composition prepared by compounding reaction mixture comprising a polyisocyanate ingredient and a polyol ingredient with a given amount by weight of an ozone inhibitor ingredient. A sealant of a predetermined shape is obtained from the foam. The polyol ingredient may be one ordinarily used for producing soft polyurethane foams, but especially preferably comprises a polyester-polyether polyol having both an ester segment and an ether segment in the molecular chain. The foam has excellent resistance to ozone deterioration and hence retains a sufficient air permeability required of a sealant for practical use. Further, the foam suffers little decrease in tensile strength from the initial value because it also has excellent resistance to deterioration by moisture and heat, i.e., high hydrolytic stability.

  • Patent number: 5743383
Abstract: A push button switch has a structure in which a stem 15a of a key top 15 directly pushes a cup-shaped rubber 13, and a bulge 13b pushes a membrane switch 12a, and a first link member 16 in U form having a coupling portion 16e having a circular hole in the middle, and a second link member 17 are engaged with each other in an X-form to compose a link mechanism. Since the key top 15 directly pushes the cup-shaped rubber 13, if reduced in thickness, the motion stroke of the cup-shaped rubber 13 can be sufficiently maintained, so that the sensation of manipulation is excellent. When assembling the push button switch, the cup-shaped rubber 13 can be positioned and held in place by making use of the circular hole in the coupling portion 16e, and hence assembling is extremely easy.

  • Patent number: 5022439
Abstract: A system for replacing a filled cloth roller with an empty cloth roller for a loom is comprised of two rotatable shafts which are oppositely disposed and respectively supported by side frames of the loom. Each rotatable shaft is fixedly provided with an engaging member engageable with an end section of the cloth roller. The two rotatable shafts are automatically driven to move axially under the action of a pneumatically operated actuator, so that the engaging members are disengaged respectively from the opposite end sections of the cloth roller for the purpose of removing the filled cloth roller from the loom while engaged respectively with the same end sections for the purpose of installing the empty cloth roller to the loom. One of the rotatable shafts is driven from a loom main shaft to rotate the cloth roller, thus taking up a woven cloth on the cloth roller during the weaving operation of the loom.

  • Patent number: 4863154
Abstract: A conveyor system for reducing the speed of double-piece cut banks being fed to a stacker is provided. Cut-blanks are fed in pairs with the spacing between the blanks of the pair being small and the spacing between the pairs of objects being large along a first conveyor towards a detecting device which detects the leading edge of the blanks. A delivery member consisting of two sandwiching rollers is variably driven in accordance with signals given by the detecting device so as to deliver from the first conveyor the first blank of each pair at a first higher speed and the second blank of each pair at a second lower speed. Blanks are thereby delivered to a second slower conveyor which may be as low as V1=2l/LV2 wherein V2 is the speed of the first conveyor, l is the length of each blank, and L is the distance between the leading edge of a first pair of blanks to the leading edge of a second pair.
