  • Patent number: 7187875
Abstract: An image forming device determines the replacement time of components depending on environment. The image forming device includes an engine part performing the printing job using a certain component upon receiving the print command, a printout counter counting the actual number of the printed sheets, an environment detector detecting a certain environmental information by checking status of each component, a memory containing the maximum number of the printable sheets of the component, and a controller driving the component by reading out the operating condition from the memory corresponding to the received environmental information and determining the replacement time of the component by determining the total number of the printed sheets by differentially compensating and accumulating the counted number of the printed sheets depending on the environmental information, and comparing with the maximum number of the printable sheets. Accordingly, accurate replacement time of the component can be estimated.

  • Publication number: 20060233567
Abstract: A developing unit and a printing apparatus employing the same. A reflection mirror is installed in the developing unit at an angle to reflect an incident light beam toward an organic photoconductor (OPC) drum also installed in the developing unit. A latent image is formed on the surface of the OPC drum by the light beam.

  • Patent number: 6246847
Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic photograph forming apparatus including a supplying roller, a developing roller, a charging roller, a laser scanning unit (LSU), a transferring roller, an organic photoconductive (OPC) drum, a pre-transfer lamp (PTL), a controller, and a power supply. The organic photoconductive drum is charged by the charging roller. An electrostatic latent image is formed on the organic photoconductive drum by the laser scanning unit, and the electrostatic latent image is changed into a visible image by toner supplied from the developing roller. The pre-transfer lamp reduces the attached force of toner attached to the organic photoconductive drum to a predetermined level. The controller varies the voltage of the transferring roller according to a predetermined standard so that toner remaining on the transferring roller is transferred to the organic photoconductive drum while the organic photoconductive drum and the transferring roller are raced.

  • Patent number: 5556211
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a print wire for a 24-pin dot printer head comprises the steps of first annealing an oil temper thin elongated wire rod at a predetermined rate to remove internal strains and eliminate distortions and imperfections after the oil temper wire rod is heated at a specified temperature for a specific length of time, cold forging the wire rod at room temperature or below a recrystallization temperature to form a needle cap having two successively different diameters at one end of the wire rod and then plating the entire wire rod including the needle cap with an electroless nickel material to reinforce possible cracks occurred during the cold forging process. The wire rod may be straightened and cut before or after the formation of a needle cap.
