  • Publication number: 20230239584
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for image processing that support enhanced white balancing operations. In a first aspect, a method of image processing includes receiving first image data from an image sensor; determining to adjust a white balancing operation from a first white balance point to a second white balance point; determining a first intermediate white balance point based on the first white balance point, the second white balance point, and a white balance reference line; receiving second image data from the image sensor; and applying white balancing to the second image data based on the first intermediate white balance point. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

  • Publication number: 20230017498
Abstract: A method of camera processing including receiving a first image, determining one or more first automatic white balance (AWB) parameters for the first image, determining one or more second AWB parameters for a region-of-interest (ROI) of the first image, applying the one or more first AWB parameters to one or more of the first image or a second image, and adjusting the ROI of one or more of the first image or the second image based on the one or more second AWB parameters.

  • Publication number: 20220385873
Abstract: A multi-point measurement of a scene captured in an image frame may be used to process the image frame, such as by applying white balance corrections to the image frame. In some examples, the image frame may be segmented into portions that are illuminated by different illumination sources. Different portions of the image frame may be white balanced differently based on the color temperature of the illumination source for the corresponding portion. Infrared measurements of multiple points in the scene may be used to determine a characteristic of the illumination source of different portions of the scene. For example, a picture that includes indoor and outdoor portions may be illuminated by at least two illumination sources that produce different infrared measurements values. White balancing may be applied differently to these two portions to correct for color temperature of the different sources.

  • Patent number: 10989968
Abstract: An optical element configured to allow an image beam passing through is provided. The optical element includes a first and a second birefringent layer and a gas layer between the first and the second birefringent layer. An extension direction of the gas layer is inclined with respect to an extension direction of the optical element, wherein the image beam passes through the first birefringent layer, the gas layer and the second birefringent layer in sequence. A first and a second sub image beam having different deflection angles are generated from the image beam when the image beam enters the gas layer. After the first and the second sub image beam are emitted from the second birefringent layer, a transmission path of the first and the second sub image beam are offset from each other by an offset distance, thereby improving resolution of an image to be viewed.

  • Patent number: 9568739
Abstract: A liquid crystal lens includes a plurality of first stripe-shaped electrodes, a plurality of second stripe-shaped electrodes, and a plurality of third stripe-shaped electrodes. Each first stripe-shaped electrode is disposed between any two of the second stripe-shaped electrodes that are adjacent to each other, and each second stripe-shaped electrode and each first stripe-shaped electrode are arranged along a first direction alternately. The third stripe-shaped electrodes are arranged along a second direction sequentially and interlaced with the first stripe-shaped electrodes and the second stripe-shaped electrodes. Any two of the second stripe-shaped electrodes and two opposite sides of each third stripe-shaped electrode perpendicular to the second direction define a lens region.
