  • Patent number: 10352656
Abstract: A mounting system includes a bracket, a first engagement member, and a second engagement member. The bracket includes a first leg, a second leg, and a bridge portion extending between the first leg and the second leg. The first leg defines a first aperture. The second leg defines a second aperture. The first engagement member is disposed within the first aperture and includes a first engagement surface. The second engagement member is disposed within the second aperture and includes a second engagement surface configured to receive the first engagement surface.

  • Patent number: 10323897
Abstract: A support pod that supports a weapon in a firing position includes a support tube telescopingly joined with a leg having a longitudinal axis. A lock portion defines grooves downwardly angled relative to the longitudinal axis. A guide portion defines recesses downwardly angled relative to the axis. The recesses can be distal and separate from the grooves, and both optionally are downwardly spiraling. The leg is operable in a locked mode, in which a lock element is in a groove, and a guide element is in a corresponding recess, to set a first overall length of the support. The leg can operate in an adjustment mode in which the lock and guide element can transition out from the groove and recess, and can move to other respective grooves and recesses chosen by a user to set the pod at another overall length. A related method of use is provided.

  • Patent number: 10302394
Abstract: An apparatus includes an adjustment knob, an inner locking ring, and an outer locking ring threadably coupled to the inner locking ring. The adjustment knob includes at least one tooth protruding radially inward from an inner peripheral edge of the adjustment knob. The inner locking ring includes at least one tooth protruding radially outward from the inner locking ring and configured to engage the at least one tooth of the adjustment knob to prevent rotational movement of the adjustment knob. The outer locking ring is configured to move the inner locking ring in a first axial direction toward the adjustment knob when the outer locking ring is rotated in a first rotatable direction. The outer locking ring is also configured to move the inner locking ring in an opposite second axial direction away from the adjustment knob when the outer locking ring is rotated in an opposite second rotatable direction.

  • Patent number: 10295292
Abstract: A biased latch subassembly is disclosed. The biased latch subassembly includes a shaft body, a rocker latch, a latch pin, a biasing member and a latch actuator. The latch pin rotatably-connects the rocker latch to the shaft body. The biasing member is disposed against the rocker latch and the shaft body. The latch actuator engages a portion of the shaft body. The latch actuator is manipulatable between at least a first position relative the shaft body and a second position relative the shaft body. When the latch actuator is arranged in the first position, the latch actuator urges the rocker latch into an un-latched position with the shaft body. When the latch actuator is arranged in the second position, the latch actuator permits the rocker latch to assume a latched position relative the shaft body. A pod assembly is also disclosed, which includes the biased latch subassembly and an indexing plate.

  • Patent number: 10119784
Abstract: A configurable sight for a firearm is provided including a plunger that is coaxially disposed within a bore of a sight element and a bias element that biases the sight element to an upright position, where the plunger selectively interlocks in the bore in different orientations to secure the sight in different positions, such as an upright position or a down position. The plunger can be slidably locked and unlocked relative to the sight element on a longitudinal axis, and the sight element can be rotated about the same axis. The sight element bore can be defined by a sleeve fixedly mounted in the sight element, and that sleeve can include a slotted crown that selectively engages the plunger depending on the position of the sight element to lock the sight element in position. A related method is provided.

  • Patent number: 10030935
Abstract: A firearm sight, optionally having a 45° offset mount, including a sight element selectively configurable in upright position and down positions, and a moveable plunger configurable in a locking mode in which a head of the plunger protrudes from it such that upon rotation of the sight element about a pivot axis, the head engages a plunger wall of the mount to arrest such rotation to thereby maintain the sight element substantially in the upright position, the plunger alternatively configurable in a free mode in which the head is retracted into the sight element so the head clears the plunger wall and the sight element can move to the down position. The mount can include an extension stop wall adjacent the head so the head cannot be deployed from the sight element to maintain it in the down position. The plunger can be actuated ambidextrously. A related method is provided.
