Abstract: A bank account opening method capable of opening a bank account easily, safely and reliably only by a user and financial institution is provided. In the method for opening an account to a financial institution, an identification document is converted into digital data and the digital data of the identification document is sent to a server of the financial institution via a web content for opening an account, provided from the server of the financial institution, or via e-mail.

Abstract: An individual identifying/attribute authenticating system includes a portable terminal possessed by a buyer of a good or service and an authenticating terminal set at a seller of the good or service. The portable terminal includes at least a component that generates an electronic signature by using a signature key and a component that transmits an electronic certificate and the electronic signature to the authenticating terminal. The authenticating terminal includes at least a component that judges whether or not the electronic signature is legitimate, a component that acquires an attribute information listed in the electronic certificate, in a case in which the electronic signature is legitimate, and a component that judges whether or not the attribute information satisfies a sales restricting condition of the good or service.

Abstract: An electronic settling system and method capable of executing settlements on the Internet in real time at a decreased cost is provided. The electronic settling system executes a settlement on the Internet using a computer. The computer comprises a storage means for storing financial transaction information of every user, a settling information receiving means for receiving settling information transmitted from the user through a telecommunication line, a settlement execution means for executing the settlement between the users based on the settling information received by the settling information receiving means, and an updating means for updating the financial transaction information of the users stored in the storage means so as to reflect the content of the settlement executed by the settlement execution means.
