  • Patent number: 4702079
Abstract: An intercooler for a supercharger in an internal combustion engine for a vehicle. The intercooler is an air cooled type provided with a pair of tanks which are connected by a core having a plurality of parallel heat exchanger pipes, between which cooling air is passed to cool the air in the pipes. Each heat exchanging pipe is vertically extended. The core has a horizontal elongation in the direction in which the pipes are arranged in juxtaposition which is larger than the vertical elongation in the direction in which each heat exchanger pipe is extended.

  • Patent number: 4503679
Abstract: An oil cooler system for a motor vehicle with a turbo charger has an oil circuit which is constituted by a first oil circuit connecting an oil pan, an oil pump, an oil filter, an oil cooler, a turbo charger and the oil pan in that order. A second oil circuit connects the oil pan, the oil pump, the oil filter, a cylinder block of an engine and the oil pan in that order, providing an oil cooler of the partial-flow type (in which, after passage through the oil cooler, the oil is returned to the oil pan through the turbo charger alone). Since the oil which has been cooled through the oil cooler is sent directly to the turbo charger, the oil temperature at the inlet of the turbo charger is effectively lowered.

  • Patent number: 4252301
Abstract: An engine mount comprising an engine mounting insulator including an upper insulating plate, a lower insulating plate and an insulator rubber attached to and between the upper and lower insulating plate and an engine mounting stabilizer attached to the engine side of a vehicle together with the upper insulating plate. The lower metallic insulator has rolling stoppers and stopper rubbers are attached to either the rolling stoppers or the engine mounting stabilizer or both, which stopper rubbers control an excessive movement of the engine.

  • Patent number: 4124011
Abstract: A system for preventing outflow of oil from an oil filler port of an overhead camshaft engine. The system comprises a partition wall extending downwardly from a cylinder head cover to divide the interior thereof into a timing chain chamber having a timing chain gear and a timing chain and a valve chamber having the oil filler port, a cam shaft and intake and exhaust valves. The partition wall prevents lubricating oil splashed in the timing chain chamber by rotation of the timing chain from getting into the valve chamber, and thereby prevents outflow of lubricating oil through the oil filler port.

  • Patent number: 4058099
Abstract: An air cleaner assembly includes an intake pipe which is provided with a switching valve means adapted to selectively effect through the intake pipe flow of either cool air or warm air. The assembly includes a joint tube, which is secured to the casing of the assembly within which an air cleaning element is housed, with part of the joint tube being in engagement with a part of the intake pipe in a telescopic relationship therewith. A resilient sealing material is sandwiched between a wall of the joint tube and the corresponding wall of the intake tube at the telescopic interconnection therebetween. The casing of the air cleaner assembly and the intake pipe are mounted by means of stays securing these elements to suitable parts of an internal combustion engine.
