  • Patent number: 6234715
Abstract: In an underwater truss structure including a large number of mutually nonparallel rods 11 provided with brims 32′, the shape of the brims 32′ is made a polygonal shape that enables gaps 33, 34 between adjacent brims to be adjusted between touching and a desired size. This enables shield factor to be markedly improved to effectively achieve diverse interference control and to be made freely adjustable.

  • Patent number: 5542779
Abstract: A wave-damping underwater truss structure for simultaneously resolving all problems such as the damping of undulation including sluggish waves and the reduction of weight and cost of members. That truss has a number of brims, each having a plurality of openings with rugged rim or rims. The opening is circularly or rectangularly formed.

  • Patent number: 5427472
Abstract: An underwater truss structure is formed by continuously linking a plurality of unit structures. Each of the unit structures is formed by assembling a plurality of shafts and ball members so as to form a triangle with the ball members respectively positioned at the vertexes of the triangle to connect the shafts at their ends. The shaft includes a compression-resistant tubular member and a tension-resistant tension rod extending inside the tubular member in the axial direction thereof. The tubular member is divided into a plurality of tubular pieces in the longitudinal direction thereof so that they are movable relative to each other in the longitudinal direction of the tubular member and the overall length of the tubular member can be varied by moving the tubular pieces relative to each other in the longitudinal direction of the tubular member. The tension rod is divided into a plurality of rod pieces in the longitudinal direction thereof and the rod pieces are respectively connected to said tubular pieces.

  • Patent number: 4983286
Abstract: This invention provides a sterilizing water-purifying reagent for removing muddiness of water to be treated or sterilizing the water to be treated as drinking water in fields or under drinking water shortage environment, and the sterilizing water-purifying reagent comprises an acidic additive containing as main ingredients various types of metal salts and nonmetal salts produced by dissolving vermiculite weathered from mica mineral or soil further weathered from the vermiculite in aqueous inorganic acid solution.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 10, 1989
Date of Patent: January 8, 1991

  • Patent number: 4074497
Abstract: Hollow web members are engaged at the ends thereof with joint members which are provided with holes for holding the end of the web members. The hollow members are provided at an intermediate portion thereof with a flange extending in perpendicular to the members. The truss structure constructed by use of the hollow web members and the joints serves as a breakwater or an underwater structure for protecting an underwater construction from impact of waves.
