Abstract: A portable electronic computer has a cabinet having a top case forming an upper surface of the cabinet, a bottom case forming a lower surface of the cabinet and a middle case interposed between the top case and the bottom case to form a side surface of the cabinet, a display unit provided on the upper surface of the cabinet so as to be visible from outside, at least one circuit board mounted to the lower surface of the cabinet and adapted to implement the function of a camera unit and the function of a portable information terminal, and a camera lens provided on the lower surface of the cabinet so as to be directed to the outside of the cabinet.

Abstract: A portable information terminal unit comprises a first and a second casing, a hinge means for coupling the first and second casing so that the first and second casing are rotatable relative to each other, an opening piercing though the first casing, a first see-thorough liquid crystal display part fitted in the opening, a means for detecting opening of the first and second casing, relative to each other, and a control means for reversing a display on the first see-through liquid crystal display part in response to a detection by the detecting means, wherein monochromatic information is displayed on the first see-through liquid crystal display part so as to reduce power consumption.

Abstract: Provided is an information processing apparatus in which a whole information processing apparatus system including a display device is compacted by making full use of thin and light characteristics of a liquid crystal display device, whereby space efficiency is improved and an ease of use is also acquired.

Abstract: A large thin display unit has a chassis structure with a first horizontally or vertically disposed enclosure, a second vertically extending enclosure mounted to the upper side of the first enclosure, and a third vertically extending enclosure mounted above the first enclosure behind the second enclosure. The second enclosure has an opening that opens toward a front of the unit and has a margin along the perimeter of the opening. The thin display section is fixed to the margin in a vertical position. Further, an air route is formed between the third enclosure and a planar portion of the second enclosure, and an air route is formed between the thin display section and the planar portion of the second enclosure. Also, a wiring space is formed between the thin display section and the planar portion of the second enclosure. Preferably, the thin display section is a large liquid-crystal display provided with a plurality of backlights.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes in its body at least a power supply unit, a disk type storage and a printed circuit board arranged in a predetermined order and further has a keyboard unit which can be sandwiched between the display unit and a keyboard unit supporting portion extending from the body by pivotally moving the display unit. A detector for detecting the detachment of the keyboard unit from the body may be provided to restrict the range of pivotal movement of the display unit in accordance with a detection signal of the detector. Further, the display unit may be provided with pilot light emitting portions, thereby making it possible to recognize a condition of the information processing apparatus.
