    Abstract: The present invention provides a deterioration diagnosis apparatus for an exhaust gas purification apparatus, including a first sensor that measures the oxygen concentration of the exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust gas purification apparatus, a second sensor that measures the oxygen concentration of the exhaust gas flowing out of the exhaust gas purification apparatus, and diagnosing means for diagnosing deterioration of the exhaust gas purification apparatus on the basis of a difference that appears between a measurement value of the first sensor and a measurement value of the second sensor when the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust pas purification apparatus is switched from a lean air-fuel ratio to a rich air-fuel ratio, wherein, when the air-fuel ratio of the exhaust gas is switched from a lean air-fuel ratio to a rich air-fuel ratio, a water-gas shift reaction is generated upstream of the first sensor.

    Abstract: After an air-bag inspection device (10) is set to a steering wheel (12), a lock release lever (48) is operated to move a lock plate (44) from a lock position to a lock release position, thereby releasing lock of a rotating plate (43). A coil spring (38) is urged to allow a left and a right clamp shafts (33) (34) to press an inner peripheral surface of the steering wheel (12). This pressing force allows the air-bag inspection device (10) to be attached to the steering wheel (12). When the start button (51) is pressed, a left sensor (14) and a right sensor (15) measure a distance to the air-bag (11). When measurement data falls within a preliminarily set predetermined range, a control device (16) determines that the air-bag (11) is properly attached to the steering wheel (12) and turns on an OK lamp (53).

The control device executes the fuel cut even where thermal degradation of the catalyst is predicted to advance, when regeneration of the filter, which is processing of removing particulate matter trapped in the filter, is needed.
