  • Patent number: 9926151
Abstract: A sheet feeder, which is included in an image forming apparatus, includes a sheet loader, an air blowing device, a regulator, a sheet attracting device, and a sheet conveying body. The sheet loader loads a sheet bundle including a sheet and a subsequent sheet placed below the sheet. The air blowing device blows air and lifts the sheet over the sheet bundle. The regulator regulates movement of the subsequent sheet, and includes an opposing portion located upper end and separated from the sheet loader toward the downstream side of the sheet conveying direction and an inclined portion upwardly inclined relative to a vertical axis from a same position as the sheet loader to the downstream side of the sheet conveying direction. The sheet attracting device attracts the sheet lifted over the sheet bundle. The sheet conveying body conveys the sheet in a sheet conveying direction.

  • Patent number: 7118061
Abstract: A tape reel in which molding quality of a flange unit is improved so as to improve reliability at the time when a magnetic tape runs at high speed, and a tape cartridge having the same. A plurality of reference planes (152v) formed between a chucking gear (152b) and an outer peripheral rib (152r2) formed at an outer peripheral side of this chucking gear (152b) are provided separately from the outer peripheral rib (152r2). And the reference plane (152v) is formed with edge planes of each of a first rib (152v1) extending toward a circumference and a second rib (152v2) extending toward a direction crossing the first rib (152v1). According to this arrangement, a volume at a portion constituting the reference plane (152v) is made smaller, occurrence of a sink after a resin is hardened is suppressed, and molding quality of the flange unit (152) is improved so that straight runnability of the magnetic tape at high speed running and reliability in recording/reproducing operation are improved.

  • Publication number: 20050061902
Abstract: A tape reel in which the reliability while running a magnetic tape at high speed is improved and a tape cartridge including the same. By configuring an annular chucking gear (152b) formed in a center section of a bottom surface of a lower flange (152) of a tape reel (150) with a perpendicular wall, idling and floating of the tape reel is suppressed, and thus, the running stability and linearity of the magnetic tape during high-speed rotation of the tape reel (150) are secured, and the reliability of the tape cartridge with regard to high speed operations is improved.

  • Patent number: 6385004
Abstract: A cassette accommodating a recording medium is loaded in a recording and/or reproduction system, and includes a separate internal memory 4 shortening the time required for searching for required information of the recording medium. An IC board (27) constituting a storage element unit is fixedly built on the upper surface side of an upper half portion (43) of a tape cassette (41) housing a recording medium, and the output terminals (29) of the IC board (27) are exposed on the outer surface side of the upper half portion (43). An information detecting unit (51) is fixed on the upper surface portion (76b) of the cassette holder (76) of the recording and/or reproduction system (61), and the terminal portions (54) of the detection external terminal (53) thereof are protruded inward of the upper surface portion (76b) of the cassette holder (76) and thus brought into contact and connected with the output terminals (29) of the IC board (27) of the tape cassette (41) inserted in the cassette holder.

  • Patent number: 6061214
Abstract: A tape cassette includes a shell, first and second bosses arranged on the inner surface of the shell, and a prism mounted on the inner surface of the shell and formed with first and second holes and having an optical axis which corresponds to an optical axis of light emitted from a tape-position sensor of a drive. The first and second bosses are arranged through the first and second holes. When the first and second bosses contact the inner peripheral surfaces of the first and second holes, a first clearance between the first boss and the first hole and a second clearance between the second boss and the second hole is produced in the opposite direction of the first and second bosses with respect to the optical axis of the prism.

  • Patent number: 5613415
Abstract: A paper cutting apparatus includes an elongated fixed blade, a movable blade, a fixed member, a pair of paper holding members, and a coupling portion. The movable blade reciprocates along the fixed blade in the direction of the width of paper to cut the paper in cooperation with the fixed blade. The fixed member is arranged midway along the path of the movable blade. The paper holding members are movably arranged on two sides of the fixed member and alternately hold the cut end portion of the paper cut by the movable blade. The coupling portion detachably couples the movable blade and the paper holding members with a predetermined coupling force, and cancels the coupling between the movable blade and one of the paper holding members by using the fixed member, while coupling the movable blade and the other of the paper holding members during movement of the movable blade in a paper cutting operation.

  • Patent number: 5583664
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus, a sheet holding mechanism has an outlet roller and a presser member cooperative to nip a sheet having a unit length and undergone predetermined processing in the apparatus. When the outlet roller is rotated, it drives the sheet out of the apparatus in cooperation with the presser member. When the sheet reaches a position where its leading edge portion protrudes from the apparatus and its trailing edge portion is brought to a predetermined position between the outlet roller and a holder member, the outlet roller is reversed to insert the trailing edge into a nipping portion included in the holder member. The holder member holds the trailing edge of the sheet. As a result, the sheet is retained in the apparatus with its leading edge portion protruding from the apparatus. A force for pulling out the sheet from the holder member is greater than the conveying force of the outlet roller.
