  • Patent number: 6532940
Abstract: A fuel injection control system of low cost for a cylinder injection type internal combustion engine, which system is capable of preventing degradation of fuel injection quantity accuracy which may be brought about by disturbances such as change of a battery voltage, change of resistance of a plunger coil of the fuel injection valve (1) and change of the fuel pressure (Fp) acting on the fuel injection valve (1) which may occur in the course of overexcitation driving of the fuel injection valve (1) at a battery voltage, to thereby allow the fuel injection quantity control to be secured for the fuel injection valve (1) over an extended range.

  • Patent number: 6378501
Abstract: A device for controlling the fuel pressure in a direct cylinder fuel injection engine, which suppresses the over-shooting or under-shooting of fuel pressure under a condition in which the fuel pressure is changing, in order to improve the response and stability. A control means 20A controls the fuel pressure by feedback so that a real fuel pressure PF comes into agreement with a target fuel pressure PFo, and includes a means 204 for operating the fuel pressure correction amount for variably setting a control gain for controlling the fuel pressure by feedback, the means for operating the fuel pressure correction amount so working as to change the control gain when the target fuel pressure has changed by more than a predetermined amount from a first control gain for when the fuel pressure remains steady over to a second control gain for when the fuel pressure changes.

  • Patent number: 6193332
Abstract: An in-stop brake system immediately operates an in-stop brake when a braking force, which is generated by a driver stepping on a brake pedal while a motor vehicle is in a stopped condition, exceeds a predetermined braking force, thereby providing necessary and sufficient in-stop braking force at any time required. The in-stop brake system includes an operation decision section for allowing the in-stop brake to be operated when the braking force generated by the stepping-on of the brake pedal becomes larger than a predetermined braking force under the conditions that the motor vehicle is in the stopped condition and that an accelerator pedal is in a released condition, the operation decision section being further operable to inhibit the operation of the in-stop brake when the accelerator pedal is stepped on.

  • Patent number: 6170459
Abstract: A fuel injection control assembly for a cylinder-injected engine includes a mean fuel pressure calculating element for calculating mean fuel pressure, a fuel pressure regulator for adjusting the fuel pressure, an injection pulse calculating element for calculating an injection pulse duration for an injector based on the mean fuel pressure, and a cycle modifying element for modifying the calculation cycle for the mean fuel pressure in response to the running speed of the engine or of a high-pressure pump, the cycle modifying element setting the calculation cycle to a length greater than or equal to a running cycle of the high-pressure pump to ensure that the number of times that fuel pressure is detected within each calculation cycle of the mean fuel pressure calculating element is greater than or equal to a predetermined number of times.

  • Patent number: 5512812
Abstract: A vehicle generator control device comprises a detector adapted to detect whether or not a lamp load has been applied; and a control circuit. When an electric load is applied (i.e., when the terminal voltage of a battery is lowered) under the condition that the application of the lamp load has been detected, the control circuit suspends a load response control operation (increasing the field current of the generator by turning the field current switch on and off), and instead increases the field current abruptly by maintaining the field current switch conductive, thereby to increase the terminal voltage of the battery immediately. Thereby, a vehicle generator control device is provided which is free from a difficulty that, when a load response control operation is carried out with lamps with head turned on, the output light of these lamps are decreased or the lamps flicker.

  • Patent number: 5181504
Abstract: A miniaturized inexpensive vibration generator using rotary bodies having unbalanced weights with no absolute encoders provided on the rotary body driving means. Rotary bodies having unbalanced weights are disposed in an opposed state. Members to be detected are fixed to the rotary bodies so that the members to be detected have a predetermined positional relation with the relative weights and rotation detectors are provided fixedly in the positions close to the loci of the rotational movements of the members to be detected, and adapted to output signals representative of what are detected thereby in the form of pulses each of which is generated every time each of the members to be detected passes the relative rotation detector, i.e., every time each member to be detected is revolved 360.degree., a phase difference computing element computes a phase difference between the unbalanced weights on the basis of the signals from the rotation detectors.
