  • Publication number: 20070001662
Abstract: The present invention provides a cheap angular velocity sensor capable of detecting angular velocity with high precision by using a vibration mode which cannot be set by external vibration. The angular velocity sensor includes: a vibrator (2) formed as a solid of revolution and made of a magnetostrictive material; a supporter (3) disposed on an axis of the vibrator (2) and supporting the vibrator (2) at a position where the axis crosses the surface of the vibrator (2); an excitation coil (4) for generating a magnetic field along a radial direction around the axis as a center in the vibrator (2), thereby making the vibrator (2) vibrate in the radial direction; a detection coil (6) which is disposed apart from the vibrator (2) and detects a magnetic flux change caused by a change in the vibration of the vibrator (2) which occurs depending on angular velocity.

  • Publication number: 20060255683
Abstract: A haptic feedback controller 100 according to the present invention is a haptic feedback controller that controls a controlled appliance and includes a base 110, a cap 120, a piezoelectric motor 130, a rotation control device, and a rotational state detecting device. According to haptic feedback controller 100 of the present invention, the piezoelectric motor 130 that can produce a large torque even when rotating at low speed is used, so that even when the cap 120 is rotated at low speed, sufficiently large haptic feedback can be applied to the cap 120. Also, since the base 110 and the cap 120 are respectively fixed to the stator 140 and the rotor 150 of the piezoelectric motor 130, there is no backlash. As a result, according to the present invention it is possible to provide a haptic feedback controller for which there is no loss in the ability to express haptic feedback, so that a wide variety of haptic feedback can be expressed.

  • Publication number: 20050269800
Abstract: A wheeled vehicle includes a frame having first and second frame sections. The first frame section extends substantially vertically. The second frame section extends substantially horizontally and rearward from a top portion of the first frame section. A seat is supported by the second frame section. A power unit powers the vehicle. The power unit is disposed below the seat. A side cover covers the second frame section. The side cover extends along the second frame section to define a space between a bottom of the side cover and a top of the power unit. A stay extends generally rearward from the first frame section. At least a portion of the stay is disposed in the space. A foot rest extends from the stay. The stay includes first and second portions. The second portion is arranged higher than the first portion. The stay is attached to the first frame section at the first portion. The foot rest is attached to the second portion of the stay.

  • Publication number: 20010014248
Abstract: A mechanical pencil for using a lead effectively includes a tip pipe for protecting a lead. The tip pipe is mounted to a front end portion of the mechanical pencil so as to be able to axially project from or retract into a tip opening of the front end portion of the mechanical pencil. The tip pipe is preferably made of metal and, at least one slit (and preferably two slits) axially extending from the tip, preferably is formed on the tip pipe so as to be mutually approximately in parallel. In the case of two slits, the two slits are arranged circumferentially at less than substantially 180E intervals and approximately in parallel with an axial direction and a portion between these two slits forms an elastic piece. Because the elastic piece of the tip pipe tends to move inwardly so as to make a surface contact against the lead, the force holding the lead is increased.

  • Patent number: 6092859
Abstract: In an arrangement of a door harness for a vehicle, a slide guide is arranged within a vehicle door, a harness protector is slidably fit in the slide guide, a door harness is introduced from the one end of the harness protector, and a body harness extending from a vehicle body is coupled with the door harness. In such a configuration, the harness protector is formed of soft resin and is secured to a front pillar of the vehicle body through a protector holder. Thus, when the door is opened or closed, the harness protector itself bends. Therefore, the door harness for a vehicle can be easily arranged in such a manner that an uneven spot is not provided for the vehicle body, a door trim and an inner panel.
