  • Patent number: 6297942
Abstract: A metal terminal includes a central portion having a cross section with a relatively large internal diameter and an approximately circular shape and cylindrical portions having a relatively a smaller diameter are extended from both sides of the central portion. The approximately circular shape portion is inserted into a through hole of a through hole type capacitor and disposed in contact with and elastically pressing against the inner wall of the through hole.

  • Patent number: 6160461
Abstract: A multilayer noise filter includes a damping resistor which is arranged to control the distortion of the waveform of an output signal and eliminate a space required for installation of the damping resistor on a substrate upon which the filter is mounted. The axial direction of coils incorporated in inductor assemblies is substantially perpendicular to external input and output electrodes. One end of one coil is electrically connected to the external input electrode and one end of another coil is electrically connected to the external output electrode. The other ends of the coils are electrically connected to a resistor at different locations, respectively. The resistor connecting the external input and output electrodes is disposed on the top surface of a multilayer unit such that the resistor is substantially parallel to the stacking direction of the multilayer unit and the axial direction of the coils. In a capacitor assembly, a pair of capacitor conductors are arranged to face each other.

  • Patent number: 6133809
Abstract: An LC filter is disclosed which exhibits excellent attenuation characteristics in a high-frequency range and substantially preserves its self-inductance and Q-factor. The LC filter is constructed of a laminated block formed by laminating insulating sheets each provided with a coil conductor. The coil conductors are connected in series to each other through via-holes to form a coil. Input/output external electrodes and ground external electrodes are disposed on the surfaces of the laminated block. The insulating sheets are laminated in a direction perpendicular to the input/output external electrodes and parallel to the mounting surface. The coil is axially placed perpendicular to the input/output external electrodes and parallel to the ground external electrodes and the mounting surface. A distributed capacitance is generated between the coil and each of the ground external electrodes to form a capacitor.

  • Patent number: 5985414
Abstract: A laminated inductor includes a laminate formed by stacking insulating sheets on which coil conductors are formed, and outermost insulating sheets. The coil conductors are connected in series by via-holes to form a coil. The direction in which the insulating sheets are stacked is perpendicular to input/output external electrodes, and is parallel to a mounting surface. The thickness of the outermost insulating layer is set larger than the radius of a rounded corner of the laminate and the length of a folded portion of the external electrode.

  • Patent number: 5546058
Abstract: A feedthrough electronic device which has an electronic element with a feedthrough hole and a center conductor which penetrates the electronic element. The center conductor is composed of a lead line portion and a spring portion which protrudes from the lead line portion and contacts with an inner periphery of the electronic element with pressure. A wide portion for preventing deformation is provided at the spring portion. A ferrite bead, a doughnut-shaped capacitor or a tubular capacitor can be used as the electronic element which has a feedthrough hole. The lead line portion of the center conductor and the spring portion can be produced separately or integrally.

  • Patent number: 5357226
Abstract: A noise filter 11 of the CR type in which electrodes 17a and 17b and electrodes 17d and 17e are formed on the outer surface of a collar portion 15 in a bobbin 12 composed of a dielectric body, recess portions 15c and 15d are respectively formed between the electrodes 17a and 17b and between the electrodes 17d and 17e, and resistance films 18a and 18b are respectively formed along the recess portions 15c and 15d. To form a noise filter of the LCR type, a coil 14 is formed on the bobbin 12 and connected to the electrodes 17b and 17d via electrodes 13a and 13b, respectively.
