  • Publication number: 20120025968
Abstract: A tire air pressure monitoring device for monitoring the air pressure of a tire on a vehicle having two or more tires, including an air pressure sensing device that senses air pressure information of the tire and is adapted to be mounted at a prescribed position on the tire so as to rotate with the tire, a transmitting device that transmits the sensed air pressure information, a rotary position sensing device that senses the rotary position of the air pressure sensing device as the tire rotates, a period of rotation calculating device that calculates the period of rotation of the tire, a period of rotation disruption sensing device that senses disruption in the period of rotation based on a change in the period, and a transmission control device that outputs commands to transmit the air pressure information to the transmitting device based on a disruption in the period of rotation.

  • Publication number: 20100116077
Abstract: In a robot arm having a closed link mechanism between a base and a hand, misalignment of the hand is inhibited during when the robot arm is used to move high temperature work. In a robot arm 100 in which a temperature of first predetermined links 20 and 4 from among a plurality of links constituting the closed link mechanism reaches a first temperature T1, and a temperature of second predetermined links 18, 10, 2, and 18 reaches a second temperature T2, the first predetermined links 20 and 4 and the second predetermined links 18, 10, 2, and 18 are formed from differing materials. An elongation ratio caused by thermal expansion of the first predetermined links 20 and 4 during a temperature change from a pre-operation temperature T0 to the first temperature T1 is approximately equal to an elongation ratio caused by thermal expansion of the second predetermined links 18, 10, 2, and 18 during a temperature change from the pre-operation temperature T0 to the second temperature T2.

  • Patent number: 7559235
Abstract: A tire air pressure monitoring system includes: a sensor unit mounted to a tire and including: an air pressure sensor for outputting a tire air pressure, and a transmitter, a receiver for receiving a radio wave from the sensor unit; a tire air pressure monitoring controller for warning a vehicular occupant of a tire air pressure decrease when the tire air pressure is less than or equal to a warning threshold. A puncture sensor for sensing a puncture of the tire, and a puncture repairing agent use sensor for sensing whether or not the puncture is repaired by using a puncture repairing agent after the puncture is sensed. When the puncture repairing agent use sensor senses that the punctured tire is repaired using the puncture repairing agent, the tire air pressure monitoring controller continues the warning even though the tire air pressure from the air pressure sensor is normal.

  • Patent number: 7493984
Abstract: A steering control apparatus for a vehicle including a steering input unit movable to set a steering input, and a steering output unit arranged to output a steering output, the steering input unit being connected via a cable to a body of the vehicle, includes a steering ratio control unit, a steering limiter, and a cable-attachment diagnostic controller. The steering ratio control unit regulates a variable steering ratio as a rate of change in the steering output with respect to a change in the steering input. The steering limiter restricts movement of the steering input unit to limit the steering input. The cable-attachment diagnostic controller is activated in a cable-attachment diagnostic mode, to control the steering ratio in such a manner that the steering input unit is movable over an allowable region defined by the steering limiter when the cable is correctly attached.
