  • Patent number: 5534842
Abstract: This invention provides a switch adapted to close upon pressing by an actuator of a movable piece initially in an open switch position, the actuator being made of a material which melts at a predetermined temperature. The switch opens when melting of the actuator by the heat generated from an overcurrent allows the movable piece to return to its initial position. The movable piece is made of a material which fuses at a predetermined temperature, such that the switch opens upon fusion of the movable piece by the heat generated from the flow of an overcurrent through the movable piece.

  • Patent number: 5293143
Abstract: In a switch device, slide plates slide on a microswitch casing independently from each other. When one of the slide plates is slid in a left-hand side direction from its neutral position against a biasing force of a spring, a cam portion thereof depresses an actuator by a predetermined constant amount putting a corresponding microswitch mechanism into an ON state. Similarly, when the other slide plate is slid in a right-hand side direction from its neutral position against a biasing force of the spring, a cam portion thereof depresses another actuator by a predetermined constant amount to put a second microswitch mechanism into an ON state. Each slide plate is operatively, selectively held through a solenoid device at that position where its cam portion depresses the corresponding actuator.

  • Patent number: 4851627
Abstract: This pressure sensitive switch includes a bellows made of corrosion resistant material and with a hollow cylindrical body, which defines a pressure receiving surface on the outer surface of its one closed end portion, and with an open end which is fixedly secured to a fixed member in such a manner that the bellows may expand and contract in its longitudinal direction in response to small changes in the pressure difference between its interior space and the space outside it; a plunger mounted so as to reciprocate in response to the expansion and contraction of the bellows by being acted upon by the inner surface of the bottom portion of the bellows; and a switch assembly which is switched to and fro in response to the reciprocating motion of the plunger. This construction is compact and efficiently functional.

  • Patent number: 4780584
Abstract: A digital switch assembly which comprises a casing having a plurality of output terminals, a rotor rotatably accommodated within the casing and adapted to be rotated either directly or indirectly by the application of a finger pressure thereto, feelers carried by and positioned inside the casing and electrically connected to the respective output terminals; a circuit board carried by the rotor and having a predetermined pattern of electric circuits adapted to be selectively engaged with the feelers to complete a desired circuit configuration depending on the position of the rotor, a grounding terminal member carried by the casing, and a circuit element extending substantially between the location at which the finger pressure is applied to rotate the rotor and the grounding terminal member for establishing a discharge circuit through which an electrostatic charge set up in the body of the operator can be grounded.

  • Patent number: 4647732
Abstract: A digital switch may have an advantageous actuating member including, in addition to pawls for a ratchet mechanism, a pair of main bodies and spring portions integrally formed therewith, whereby the mechanical integrity of the actuating member and smooth operation are assured. The spring portions are interconnected by a mounting plate which is in turn engaged to a casing member. The switch may include an advantageous electro-conductive pattern which is made by insert molding an embossed metallic plate into synthetic resin, whereby the dimensional accuracy of the pattern is assured and the production may be facilitated. Further, the switching element may make use of a set of concentric cams which selectively drive movable contact pieces onto fixed contact pieces according to the step-wise rotation of a ratchet wheel.
