  • Publication number: 20010003953
Abstract: A variable volume container includes a cylindrical main body having an end wall at an end thereof; an outlet projecting from an outer surface of said end wall for allowing a content to be supplied; a piston member fitted into said main body sealingly and slidably in an axial direction of said main body for defining a variable volume storage chamber between itself and said end wall; a plug member detachably mounted to said outlet; and an impact resisting reinforcement disposed at said end wall. The reinforcement may be a part of said end wall having a thickness gradually increased toward said outlet, or may be a rib shaped projection. Such a variable volume container placed upside down in packaging or transport is reinforced at the end wall of the main body where the outlet is disposed. Thus, impact is not concentrated at the root portion of the outlet but distributed, so that the outlet is prevented from being damaged, and the container is placed more stably.

  • Patent number: 6219933
Abstract: A container for a fluid includes a carton of a long hollow shape having an inner surface, and an inner bag attached to the inner surface of the carton for containing the fluid in it. The flexible inner bag has a fluid-discharge port. The inner bag is separated from the carton according to discharging of the fluid. The container also includes a separation detecting device. This device is disposed along a separating direction of the inner bag, which is separated according to taking out of the fluid.

  • Patent number: 6056164
Abstract: The present invention provides a cylinder/piston type volume reduction container which does not occupy much space for storage and transportation, and is easy in disposal and recovery. The container comprises a head tubular body (1) an end of which is closed by an end wall (11) having an outlet (12) for content, a rear tubular body (2) which is fitted in the head tubular body and movable in an axial direction of the head tubular body, and a piston member (3) which is fitted in the rear tubular body and movable in an axial direction of the rear tubular body. The rear tubular body may comprise a plurality of tubular bodies nested in telescopic manner. The rear tubular body and the piston may respectively be fitted in the head tubular body and the rear tubular body by way of scraping members (21, 22, 31, 32) provided on an outer peripheral surface of the rear tubular body or the piston.

  • Patent number: 6011083
Abstract: A water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion ink for stencil printing is provided, which is excellent in emulsion stability and drying, high in printing density and low in blurring and seep through. The W/O emulsion ink has an oil phase and a water phase, in which an acid anhydride containing water-soluble polymer is contained together with a water-insoluble colorant in said water phase. The acid anhydride containing water-soluble polymer is preferably an acid anhydride containing olefin copolymer, more specifically, an isobutylene-maleic anhydride copolymer, or an acid anhydride containing vinyl copolymer, more specifically, a styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer. Preferably, the oil phase comprises at least a solvent and an emulsifier, and the water phase comprises a water-in-oil (O/W) emulsion of resin and/or a water-soluble resin.

  • Patent number: 5960993
Abstract: A container for fluidal materials, including a bag member made of a flexible film material originally constructed in a flattened shape with some foldings, a port member mounted to the bag member at its longitudinal end, and a plate member mounted over the bag member as originally constructed in a flattened annular sheet member made of a relatively stiff and elastic sheet material such as a cardboard, wherein the plate member is expanded into a tubular shape when the bag member is charged with a fluidal material but is readily flattened for disposal after the fluidal material has been discharged from the bag member.
