  • Patent number: 5671142
Abstract: In a suspension control system for a vehicle having a plurality of damping force variable shock absorbers, at least either or both of positive and negative dead zone threshold values (.+-.X.sub.2i0') are reduced to a predetermined value (X.sub.2i00'), for example, zero until a zero crossing counter CNT indicates a predetermined value CNT.sub.0, the zero crossing counter CNT counting the number of time a vertical sprung mass velocity X.sub.2i' crosses a zero point thereof, when an absolute value .vertline.X.sub.2i' .vertline. of the sprung mass vertical velocity oscillated due to oscillation inputs from a running road surface is equal to or exceeds a predetermined positive or negative sprung mass vertical velocity upper or lower limit threshold value (X.sub.2i1').
