  • Patent number: 11061636
Abstract: A print job data generation portion generates print job data, including flatplan information that specifies an actual position of each of pages on a unit printing sheet, based on submission data and a flatplan template. In the case where a page size in the submission data is smaller than a maximum page size defined by the flatplan template, the print job data generation portion determines the position of each of the pages in accordance with an intra-cell positioning rule set in the flatplan template Dt with no change in the folding position represented by the flatplan template.

  • Patent number: 10690368
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a memory and a processor coupled to the memory. The memory stores first information and second information. The first information includes a permission time with respect to each of a plurality of operation states of the information processing apparatus in an activation state. The permission time is a time allowed for switching a substitute apparatus from a standby state to the activation state. The second information includes an activation time required for activating each of a plurality of modules which operate on the substitute apparatus. The processor identifies one permission time corresponding to a current operation state. The processor determines stop modules such that a total time for activating the stop modules is equal to or less than the one permission time based on the second information. The processor instructs the substitute apparatus in the standby state to stop the stop modules.

In the case where a page size in the submission data is smaller than a page size defined by the flatplan template, the print job data generation portion reduces the size of each of pages in a layout defined by the flatplan template in accordance with a lateral size of the page included in the submission data, while fixing one end or the other end, in a lateral direction of the unit printing sheet, of each of the pages in the layout, and determines the actual position of each of the pages.

  • Publication number: 20170060774
Abstract: A storage control device includes a first memory, a second memory, and a processor. The processor is configured to store a reference count of each of a plurality of first and second unit data. The processor is configured to arrange first entries of first management information in a first memory area on the first memory. The first entries each include a hash value and information indicating where corresponding one of the first unit data is stored. The processor is configured to arrange second entries of second management information in a second memory area on the second memory. The second entries each include a hash value, information indicating where corresponding one of the second unit data is stored, and the reference count. The processor is configured to arrange, in a third memory area on the first memory, index information for filtering hash values included in the second entries.

Abstract: A storage system includes a backup source storage, a backup destination storage, and a control device. The backup destination storage includes a first processor. The control device includes a second processor. The second processor is configured to acquire change history information on a history of changing data stored in the backup source storage. The second processor is configured to transfer the acquired change history information and differential data corresponding to the change history information to the backup destination storage. The first processor is configured to create, on basis of the change history information, a change list that indicates locations at which the data stored in the backup source storage is changed.

  • Publication number: 20090077276
Abstract: A data transfer device connected to data transfer destination via serial attached SCSI includes a plurality of buses. A queuing unit queues processing requests associated with data transfer. A transferring unit obtains data transferred associated with processing request upon receiving processing request and transfer obtained data to the destination by using one of the buses. A transmitting unit transmits processing request queued in the queuing unit to transfer unit. A detecting unit detects the number of processing requests. A determining unit determines whether the number of processing requests detected by the detecting unit is smaller than the number of buses. If the determining unit determines the number of processing requests is smaller than the number of buses, the transmitting unit divides the processing requests into a plurality of processing requests in accordance with the number of buses and the number of processing requests.

  • Patent number: 7126701
Abstract: A rasterization processor capable of properly selecting a rasterization processing method reducing a non-operating time of an output unit is provided. The rasterization processor acquires the operating state of the output unit and a time up to termination of output operation of the output unit, calculates times for rasterizing page data at a time and consecutively rasterizing a plurality of separation data separated from page data respectively and compares an output operation end time and an at-a-time RIP processing time with each other. On the basis of the result, the rasterization processor selects and executes either rasterization processing. Thus, a rasterization processor maximally keeping the operating time of the output unit and improving efficiency of printing/prepress steps can be provided.

  • Patent number: 7061649
Abstract: A page data processor capable of reducing a dead time or an output interrupting time of an output unit calculates an output start time in the output unit from a time necessary for rasterizing page data and a time necessary for outputting output data generated by the rasterization processing. The page data processor also generates a plurality of output files by dividing the output data every time the rasterized output data reaches a prescribed data size, and transmits the same to the output unit in units of the output files at the output start time. Thus, the page data processor can reduce the dead time of the output unit for improving the efficiency of printing/prepress steps.
