    Abstract: An apparatus for positioning and holding a photosensitive material comprises: a case provided movably in a back-and-forth direction on a transparent plate held on a table frame of a copying apparatus; an overlay sheet to be spread over the photosensitive material, having one end fixed to a rear end of the transparent plate and another end held by a sheet roller in the case in a yieldable and retractable manner; stopper members provided on the table frame for placing the case in a desired position in the back-and-forth direction; contact members held by the case for positioning the photosensitive material in a transverse direction, with which at least two right-angled edges of the photosensitive material are brought into contact; and an evacuating device for evacuating air trapped between the overlay sheet and the transparent plate after positioning of the photosensitive material.

    Abstract: A copying machine has a camera unit and a developer unit connected through a coupler, wherein the coupler includes feed paths along which a length of film is fed before and after exposure to a focused image of an original; a film cassette located adjacent to the feed path; a film carrier for supplying a length of unexposed film to the photographic or camera section, the film carrier being capable of running to and fro along a portion of the feed paths; an overlay sheet holder provided in opposite to the film carrier and movable in synchronism therewith; a transparent platen on which the film is placed with an overlay sheet covered thereon to shut out extraneous light; and a film sucking means mounted on the film carrier whereby a length of film after exposure is fed to the developer unit by being held by suction at its terminating end.

    Abstract: An apparatus for securing a sheet material under suction, the apparatus comprising: a face plate including a number of pores adapted to allow air to pass through, a base plate including outlet ports, corrugated plate interlocated between the face plate and the base plate, the corrugated plate including hill portions and valley portions alternately produced, each hill portion and valley portion taking the form of rectangles produced concentrically of the base plate, the corrugated plate further including inlet grooves between one hill portion and the next, and outlet grooves between one valley portion and the next, each outlet groove including one outlet port in the base plate, the inlet grooves and the outlet grooves being communicated with each other through a port produced in the partition wherein the port is located at a point distant from the outlet ports.

    Abstract: A film suction plate for a process camera, wherein a base plate having a suction pipe in its center and a perforated plate having a plurality of small suction holes are mounted to the rear and the front of a base frame so as to compose a box-shape, and wherein corrugated plates are mounted between the base plate and the perforated plate so that tops and bottoms of the corrugated plates may be arranged concentrically and so that ventilating paths whose widths are widened gradually from the edges of the base plate toward the suction pipe, may be formed in spaces between the corrugated plates, thereby holding any size of film onto the film suction plate without any trouble.
