  • Patent number: 9491439
Abstract: A 3D image capture device includes: a first image capturing section including a first optical system and a first image sensor that outputs a first signal to generate a first image; a second image capturing section including a second optical system that has parallax with respect to the first optical system and a second image sensor that outputs a second signal to generate a second image that has parallax with respect to the first image; a point of convergence adjusting section configured to adjust the position of the point of convergence; a working range setting section configured to set working ranges for the image stabilization working according to the position of the point of convergence; and an image stabilizing section configured to cancel the camera shake within the set working ranges.

  • Patent number: 9288474
Abstract: An image capture device includes: first and second shooting sections, each of which is configured to shoot an image of a subject; and a signal processing section configured to generate, based on first and second images that have been shot by the first and second shooting sections, respectively, information indicating the amount of parallax between the first and second images. Based on at least one of the states of the first and second images, a zoom power during shooting, and the tilt of the image capture device during shooting, the signal processing section generates control information indicating the degree of stereoscopic property of a 3D image to be generated based on the first and second images or indicating whether or not the 3D image needs to be output, and records the control information and the information indicating the amount of parallax.

  • Patent number: 9042709
Abstract: An image capture device includes: first and second shooting sections, each of which is configured to shoot an image of a subject; a disparity calculating section configured to generate a depth map based on first and second images that have been shot by the first and second shooting sections, respectively; and an image generating section configured to generate, based on the depth map and the first image, a third image that has as high a resolution as the first image and that forms part of a 3D image. The image generating section is controlled to determine whether or not to generate the third image based on at least one of the states of the first and second images, a zoom power during shooting, and the tilt of the image capture device during shooting.

  • Publication number: 20130169761
Abstract: An imaging apparatus can be connected to a 3D adapter having an optical system capable of condensing light for forming an image for a left-eye and light for forming an image for a right-eye and can be set into an adjusting mode for adjusting the optical system. The imaging apparatus includes an image pickup unit operable to capture an image formed based on the lights condensed by the 3D adapter, and a display unit operable to display the image captured by the image pickup unit. When the imaging apparatus is set to the adjusting mode, the display unit overlaps and displays the image for a left-eye and the right-eye image captured by the image pickup unit.

  • Publication number: 20120026300
Abstract: An imaging apparatus can connect a 3D conversion lens. The 3D conversion lens has an optical system capable of collecting light for forming a left-eye image and light for forming a right-eye image. The imaging apparatus has an imaging device, a zoom lens operable to change a magnification of an image to be imaged on the imaging device, a driver operable to drive the zoom lens, a temperature detector operable to detect an ambient temperature of the apparatus, an attachment detector operable to detect whether the 3D conversion lens is attached to the apparatus, and a controller operable to control the driver to cause the zoom lens to move to a predetermined position, when the attachment detector detects that the 3D conversion lens is attached to the apparatus. The controller determines the predetermined position based on a detected result of the temperature detector.
