    Abstract: A container for containing automatic transmissions or the like comprises first and second cases which are identical in shape. A first group of coupling portions are possessed by each case, which establish a coupling of the first and second cases when the first and second cases are mated in a front-to-front mating manner. A second group of coupling portions are possessed by each case, which establish a coupling of the first and second cases when the first and second cases are mated in a back-to-back mating manner. A third group of coupling portions are possessed by each case, which establish a coupling of the first and second cases when the first and second cases are mated in a front-to-back mating manner.
