  • Patent number: 6559930
Abstract: An image exposure apparatus in which positioning of a photosensitive material, such as a printing plate to be wound around a rotating drum, is implemented in a small space. A turning unit and a transport conveyor are provided at a plate supply/transport section. The turning unit trains the printing plate about the rotating drum and feeds the plate to the transport conveyor. At the transport conveyor, the printing plate is transported and a leading end of the printing plate abuts pin rollers. Then, a positioning motor is operated to move the turning unit and the transport conveyor integrally. Thus, the printing plate abuts another pin roller in a width direction to implement positioning of the printing plate. The leading end of the positioned printing plate is then fed to a puncher by the transport conveyor.

  • Publication number: 20030058420
Abstract: An image recording device, wherein deviation of an image-recording start position, which results from a difference in the amount of expansion and contraction based on temperature changes between a printing plate precursor, a rotating support, a mechanism for moving a recording head, and the like, is corrected so that an image can be recorded at a proper position. Temperature 1 near the rotating support is obtained by a first temperature sensor, and temperature 2 near the mechanism is obtained by a second temperature sensor. Then, an amount for correcting an image-recording start position is obtained from a correction table based on the temperatures 1 and 2 and on a size of the printing plate precursor, and the number of drive pulses for correction corresponding to the obtained amount of correction is outputted to a drive motor of the mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20020093561
Abstract: An image recording apparatus records an image on a printing plate wound around a rotating drum with a light beam emitted from an exposure head. In the image recording apparatus, an actual drum rotational speed Nx is recognized, and the image is recorded on the printing plate in an accelerating period in which the actual drum rotational speed Nx is equal to or higher than a predetermined rotational speed, a constant-rotational-speed period, and a decelerating period. An exposure beam position, an exposure beam output, and an auxiliary scanning speed of the exposure head are corrected dependent on the peripheral speed of the drum in the accelerating period and the decelerating period.

  • Publication number: 20010050760
Abstract: For dividing an image and recording divided images on a photosensitive film with a plurality of laser beams, an auxiliary scanning speed is reduced in the vicinity of junctions between adjacent ones of the divided images to adjust the intervals between main scanning lines, and each of the main scanning lines is divided into divided main scanning lines in a main scanning direction, and the divided main scanning lines are formed separately in an auxiliary scanning direction. With such a correcting process, a high-quality image free of striped artifacts and inclination differences of main scanning lines can be recorded on the photosensitive film.

  • Publication number: 20010024014
Abstract: A sucking hole is formed at a longitudinal groove at a leading end chuck side end of the longitudinal groove. In a clamp of the leading end chuck, a shut-off valve facing the sucking hole is provided at a clamp portion which opposes a leading end of the printing plate. When the longitudinal groove is not covered with the printing plate, a cap portion of the shut-off valve enters the longitudinal groove so as to shut the sucking hole. In this way, negative pressure is supplied only to the longitudinal groove which is covered with the printing plate, and leakage of negative pressure from the sucking holes of the longitudinal grooves not covered by the printing plate is prevented. As a result, desired suction adhesion can be obtained without need for a large-capacity negative pressure source.

  • Publication number: 20010010192
Abstract: The drum has a balancer disposed at both ends of a drum body around which a printing plate is wound, and with a rotating shaft rotatably supported by a supporting plate via an elastic support member of a shaft receiving member. When the rotating drum is rotated in a state in which the rotating drum is out of balance, the elastic support member is elastically deformed so that the rotating shaft rotates integrally with the rotating drum. Balance of the drum is restored by eccentric revolution of the balancers, whereby the rotating drum is rotated around a center of the rotating shaft. A recording head is mounted at a bracket that moves integrally with the rotating drum. Thus, the recording head continually opposes a fixed position at the rotating drum, and an appropriate image can be formed on a printing plate.

  • Patent number: 6139204
Abstract: According to the invention, only the surface where washing is necessary can be washed with a simple configuration, and a high humidity adhesion property of the heat developing photosensitive material after the heat developing processing can be eliminated regardless of the degree of the humidity. A pair of guiding rollers are provided above a water washing roller. The guiding rollers are provided such that the lowermost points are below the uppermost point of the water washing roller. The water washing roller rotates while rubbing the lower surface of a film. Washing water is taken out toward the transported film by the water washing roller by the high speed rotation thereof (400 rpm) so as to form a flow on the upstream side with respect to the contacting portion with the film at the uppermost point.

  • Patent number: 5859732
Abstract: In an optical member coupling apparatus for coupling an exchangeable lens unit and an optical member such as a color-separating prism with each other, a supporting section for movably supporting the optical member in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis is provided, whereby even when the optical axes of the lens unit and optical member deviate from each other, they can be adjusted easily. A color-separating prism 2 is attached, together with a lens unit 1, to a panel 3 by means of first and second bases 7 and 8 which are respectively movable only along X and Y axes in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis. The first and second bases 7 and 8 respectively have elliptical holes 7G and 8G into which a joystick 16 can be inserted.

  • Patent number: 5793181
Abstract: A feed apparatus for feeding a recorded image or film (scanned medium) in a reading or recording apparatus has a feed drum for feeding the scanned medium and a motor for rotating the feed drum. The rotating states of the feed drum and the motor are detected respectively by a rotary encoder and a frequency generator for feedback control of the feed drum and the motor. The eccentricity of the feed drum is limited to a predetermined value which is calculated according to the following equation:.DELTA.D=1/2{(T+D).DELTA.L/L-2.DELTA.T}where .DELTA.D represents the predetermined value, L the length of the scanned medium in the auxiliary scanning direction, .DELTA.L the allowable feed error of the scanned medium in the auxiliary scanning direction, T the thickness of the scanned medium, and .DELTA.L the thickness variation of the scanned medium.

  • Patent number: 5721604
Abstract: A feeding apparatus has a rotatable feed drum and first and second nip rollers movable into rolling contact with an outer circumferential surface of the feed drum by gravity. The first nip roller is made of a metal, and the second nip roller is made of rubber, so that the first nip roller exerts feeding forces smaller than feeding forces exerted by the second nip roller. A film that is fed by the feed drum in coaction with the first and second nip rollers is reliably prevented from being lifted off the outer circumferential surface of the feed drum.

  • Patent number: 5221944
Abstract: In a liquid electrophotographic method, in which while a photoconductive drum is rotating a plurality of toners are deposited thereon to thereby transfer an image simultaneously onto a transfer material, at a first rotation of the drum, each color toner image is formed onto the drum and the drum is dried during a second rotation thereof. Consequently, the image information can be transferred utilizing the time taken to dry the drum. In addition, in the same apparatus, an electric charging unit, an exposure unit, a developing unit, a drying unit, a transfer unit and the like are disposed along the outer circumference of the drum. Consequently, the entire apparatus can be compactly arranged.
