  • Publication number: 20050163006
Abstract: In a recording medium reproducing apparatus, a storage means in which reproduction limit information is stored is a rewritable non-volatile memory, and the recording medium reproducing apparatus includes a control unit which reads reproduction limit information from the non-volatile memory and compares this reproduction limit information with reproduction limit information recorded on a recording medium. Then, the reproduction limit information can be set under the condition that the reproduction limit information has not yet been set in the non-volatile memory. Broadcasting format information is stored in the non-volatile memory, and the control unit reads the broadcasting format information from the non-volatile memory and performs control in accordance with the broadcasting format indicated by the broadcasting format information.

  • Patent number: 6768708
Abstract: A signal recording apparatus including a battery voltage detecting circuit. The battery voltage detecting circuit detects the voltage value of a battery. When a record button provided on an operation panel is pressed, a syscon detects, for 160 ms, voltage values given from the battery voltage detecting circuit. The detected voltage values are stored to a DRAM. An average calculated of the voltage values of for 160 ms by using the DRAM. The syscon compares the averaged voltage value with a threshold A that makes it possible for recording for one disk. When the averaged voltage value is equal to or higher than the threshold A, the syscon directly starts recording. When the averaged voltage value is lower than the threshold A, an insufficient remaining capacity of the battery is displayed on a liquid crystal panel by a display controller.

  • Patent number: 5846152
Abstract: A transmission unit includes a belt type continuously variable transmission (CVT) having a first pulley arranged on a first shaft with a stationary sheave, a movable sheave and a hydraulic actuator for the movable sheave. The second pulley of the CVT is mounted on a second shaft and also has a stationary sheave, a movable sheave and a hydraulic actuator. A belt is mounted around the first and second pulleys. The transmission unit further includes a synchronous transmission for connecting a first rotary member arranged on the first shaft and a second rotary member arranged on the second shaft at a constant speed ratio, an output gear for transmitting power to the wheels and a planetary gear unit. The planetary gear unit is mounted on the second shaft and includes at least first, second and third rotary elements. The first rotary element is connected to the second rotary member, the second rotary element to the second pulley, and the third rotary element to the output gear.
