  • Patent number: 8103442
Abstract: In a navigation device for providing a guide from an origin to a destination, a display section displays a guide image indicating the guide to the destination. A state acquisition section acquires a state outside a vehicle. A photographed guide generation section generates a photographed guide image, using a photographed image of a captured forward direction of the vehicle. A map guide generation section generates a map guide image, using map information. Based on the state outside the vehicle acquired by the state acquisition section, a state determination section determines which one of the photographed guide image and the map guide image is to be displayed by priority. Based on the determination made by the state determination section, a guide display control section allows the guide image including at least one of the photographed guide image and the map guide image to be displayed in the display section.

  • Patent number: 7718260
Abstract: This invention provides hollow fibers impregnated with gel in which the gel firmly adheres to the inner walls of the hollow fibers due to the introduction of comb polymers on the inner walls of the hollow fibers. These hollow fibers impregnated with gel have no gaps at the interfaces between the inner walls thereof and the gel. Accordingly, analysis can be performed with high accuracy. Also, thin slices obtained by bundling these hollow fibers and then slicing this bundle have sufficient adhesion between the gel and the inner walls of the hollow fibers. This also prevents gel from becoming detached from the inner walls at the time of slicing or during operations such as hybridization.

  • Publication number: 20090240426
Abstract: A navigation device and the like capable of preventing a user from falsely recognizing an intersection to take a turn even when another intersection is present near a guidance target intersection. The navigation device that performs route navigation by displaying a guiding symbol superimposed on a photographed image includes: an adjacent intersection detection unit that calculates a distance between a guidance target intersection and an intersection adjacent to the guidance target intersection; and a guidance display control unit that controls guidance details to be displayed. The guidance display control unit sets timing for indicating a path to be taken at the guidance target intersection by using the guiding symbol based on the distance between intersections calculated by the adjacent intersection detection unit.

  • Publication number: 20090132162
Abstract: A navigation device is provided, which at a junction such as an intersection point, and the like, offers to a driver an appropriate image of the vicinity of the junction which is required in turning right or left, and the like. A route search section (102) searches for a route leading to a set destination. An imaging regulation setting section (107) determines an imaging regulation of an imaging section (109) at a junction which exists on the searched route. A distance calculation section (104) calculates a distance between a position of a vehicle and the junction.
