  • Patent number: 4852798
Abstract: The present invention relates to an air conditioning apparatus equipped with upper and lower air mix doors and mode doors. In the present invention, the air flow volume distribution of the upper and lower blow ports is controlled continuously by regulating the opening degrees of the mode doors by one actuator controlled by instruction signal of a control device through a side link having cams corresponding to the number of the mode doors with respect to the outdoor temperature and quantity of solar radiation. The desired air discharge temperature is controlled by regulating the opening degrees of the upper and lower air mix doors by the instruction of the control device corresponding to the outdoor temperature and quantity of solar radiation.

  • Patent number: 4742762
Abstract: An air conditioning apparatus of an air mix type for automotive vehicles includes a casing formed therein with an air passageway, a heating device mounted in the air passageway and an air mix door mechanism for suitably regulating air flowing through the heating device and air bypassing the same, and is adapted to provide an air mix or conditioned air by mixing warm air with cool air in suitable proportions so as to release the conditioned air of desired temperature through air outlets formed in the casing. The air passageway in the casing is divided along the direction of flow of the air to define a cool air heating passageway in which the heating device is disposed and a cool air passageway which is connected to the air outlets to directly lead the cool air thereto. The cool air passageway is equipped with a door mechanism for opening and closing the cool air passageway.

  • Patent number: 4407638
Abstract: A swash plate type compressor including a partition plate mounted in a side cover for axially partitioning the interior of the side cover into two portions. One of said two portions interposed between the partition plate and a valve plate functions as a high pressure chamber, and the other portion interposed between the partition wall and a bottom wall surface of the cover functions as a silencing chamber. A compressed refrigerant discharged from cylinder bores and introduced into the high pressure chamber is discharged from the high pressure chamber through the partition plate into the silencing chamber where pulsations of pressure are removed from the refrigerant.By directing the compressed refrigerant discharged from the high pressure chamber toward the center of the silencing chamber and by drawing off the refrigerant from the center of the silencing chamber and introducing same into the refrigerant cycle, increased effects can be achieved in silencing noises.

  • Patent number: 4326838
Abstract: A swash plate type compressor for use in an air-conditioning system for vehicles. The compressor has a pair of cylindrical cylinder blocks which are disposed in axial alignment and contact with each other, cylinder bores formed in the cylinder blocks and pistons reciprocatably received by respective cylinder bores. A rotary shaft extends through the cylinder blocks coaxially with the latter, and carries a swash plate fixed thereto. The pistons are slidingly engageable with the swash plate such that they make reciprocating movement in respective cylinder bores as the swash plate is rotated. The swash plate is accommodated by a crank chamber defined in the pair of cylinder blocks. A lubrication oil is supplied to the sliding parts in the crank chamber. A pair of side plates are attached to respective ends of the cylinder blocks which are axially disposed and contacted by each other, through medium of valve plates.

  • Patent number: 4321019
Abstract: In a swash plate type compressor, an oil separating chamber is arranged in the course of the flow of coolant gas from an inlet to a low pressure chamber. An oil accumulating chamber is formed between the rear end of the drive shaft and the rear side cover. The oil accumulating chamber is communicated with the oil separating chamber and with a thrust bearing through an oil passage formed in the drive shaft. The thrust bearing is lubricated by use of oil from the oil accumulating chamber.

  • Patent number: 4135862
Abstract: A swash plate type compressor composed of a pair of cylinder blocks having pistons and a swash plate mounted therein is assembled in such a manner that projections extending partially from the cylinder blocks are brought into abutting relationship. The projections are covered at their outer peripheries, through packings, with a clyindrical cover which is maintained in airtight relationship with the cylinder blocks at surfaces where they are maintained in contact with one another.
