Publication number: 20200353070Abstract: The present invention provides polypeptides for selectively inducing target antigen-specific CD8-positive T-cell responses. Since induction of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-specific CD4-positive T-cell responses by vaccine could promote HIV infection, an HIV vaccine antigen that selectively induces HIV-specific CD8-positive T-cell responses would be useful if obtained. Thus, in the present invention, polypeptide antigens were designed in which 8- to 12-residue amino acid sequences divided from the amino acid sequence of a target antigen protein were connected in an order different from that of the original amino acid sequence. DNA and viral vector vaccines expressing these antigens were tested by inoculation into monkeys. As a result, they were shown to be able to efficiently induce antigen-specific CD8-positive T-cell responses in a selective manner. The instant antigens may be useful as vaccine antigens that induce CD8-positive T cells in a highly selective manner.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 21, 2019Publication date: November 12, 2020Inventors: Tetsuro MATANO, Hiroshi ISHII, Makoto INOUE, Takashi HIRONAKA, Tsugumine SHU, Toyotaka MORI

Patent number: 8935433Abstract: A method of operating HDMI ports. An HDMI port controller assigns virtual addresses when the maximum number of HDMI CEC addresses is exceeded and CEC logical addresses are duplicated with only one HDMI port corresponding to device having a CEC logical address having its port enabled at any given time. This abstract is not to be considered limiting, since other embodiments may deviate from the features described in this abstract.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2013Date of Patent: January 13, 2015Assignee: Sony CorporationInventor: Takashi Hironaka

Patent number: 8544047Abstract: A TV-set is equipped with HDMI and USB connections that allow it to display and run audio-video content from a variety of conventional consumer devices. The TV-set is further equipped to provide a secure HDMI-USB interface that will allow the transfer of licensed high definition content and Internet subscriber services. Such secure HDMI-USB interface also enables a selection of proprietary application modules to be attached. Downloadable user interface templates, much like XML style sheets, are rendered to a user interface displayed on the screen. These are associated with corresponding thumbnails and URI's that allow a user to surf through lists and catalogs of materials, and then to play them in the appropriate formats and provide the machine with a customized controller. A remote commander is simplified, yet expanded to control all the attached devices through interactions with the user interface.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2011Date of Patent: September 24, 2013Assignees: Sony Corporation, Sony Electronics Inc.Inventors: Edgar Tu, David Boyden, Takashi Hironaka, Thomas Dawson, George Williams, Ludovic Douillet, Rajesh Rao, Peter Rae Shintani, Djung Nguyen, Milton Frazier, Ian Charles Matthews, Behram Mario Dacosta, Robert Hardacker, Nicholas James Colsey, Mark Hanson, Jason R.
