  • Patent number: 8764139
Abstract: A preliminary vibration number storage unit stores a first preliminary vibration characteristic which indicates a relation between a downtime of an ejection opening and a smallest number of vibrations in preliminary vibration, the smallest number of vibrations required to enable normal preliminary ejection from the ejection opening immediately after the preliminary vibration. The downtime of each ejection opening TR is irregularly distributed within a range between zero and T1max, the range defining the first preliminary vibration characteristic, and preliminary ejection is performed subsequently to the preliminary vibration. At this point, the preliminary vibration performed is set to include N1R vibrations, the number of which corresponds to the downtime TR of the first preliminary vibration characteristic.

  • Patent number: 8540342
Abstract: Positions of flushing candidate pixels are provided in standard areas S formed from pixels arranged in a matrix pattern. A reference area formation section forms a reference area Ref by arranging two standard areas S adjacently to each other in both a main scan direction and a conveyance direction. In a range where there are overlaps with virtual pixel rows 84 not associated with image dots for a virtual flushing area F virtually arranged at a randomly-determined position in the reference area Ref, an extraction section extracts pixels overlapping flushing candidate pixels in the reference area Ref. A head control section controls inkjet heads such that image dots and flushing dots corresponding to the extracted pixels are formed on a sheet P.

  • Publication number: 20070276282
Abstract: A myoelectric potential produced across a predetermined muscle of a living body in isometric exercise is measured before physical training. An item of myoelectric potential information involving the measured myoelectric potential is stored as a reference recovery value, which is then compared with an item of myoelectric potential information involving a myoelectric potential measured after the training, thereby determining an extent of recovery of the muscle.

  • Publication number: 20070232869
Abstract: A biological information measuring system which is capable of measuring biological information simultaneously at a plurality of body sites, and of visually recognizing the biological information in real time at hand. A control device respectively transmits a measurement start signal to each of myoelectric potential measuring devices when a measurement start instruction is inputted from an input unit, and displays measurement results transmitted as needed from the respective myoelectric potential measuring devices on a display unit. On the other hand, when the measurement start signals are transmitted from the control device, the plurality of myoelectric potential measuring devices start measurement of myoelectric potentials by measuring units, and transmit active states of the measured muscles as measurement results to the control device.

  • Patent number: 5526290
Abstract: A pace calculation device including an oscillator and a frequency divider used for timing purposes, an amplifier and a speaker for generating a signal sound, and a CPU for performing an operation. Times taken for a runner to run any first distance twice each at a different pace to the signal sound are measured. The CPU draws a relation between a pace and a run time on the basis of data on two different paces at each of which the runner run the first distance and data on the run times taken for the runner to run. A run time taken for the runner to run at any pace any second distance which the runner should run in a target run time is measured. The CPU calculates a pace at which the runner runs the second distance in the target run time on the basis of the relation, data on the pace at which the runner run the second distance, and the run time taken for that run. The speaker generates a signal sound on the basis of data on the pace calculated by the CPU.

  • Patent number: 5497143
Abstract: An electronic device for a vehicle detects the number of rotations of a wheel of a vehicle, calculates the distance covered by the vehicle, measures the atmospheric pressure to provide data on the atmospheric pressure, obtains a height corresponding to the measured atmospheric pressure from a height-atmospheric pressure conversion table stored in a RAM on the basis of the measured atmospheric pressure data, calculates an tilt of a road where the vehicle travels on the basis of the height and the measured covered distance, detects a gear corresponding to the calculated tilt from a gear change conversion table, drives a transmission to put the gear in the meshed state. In order to apply a barometer to a weather forecast, an actual height where the vehicle travels is calculated on the basis of data on a tilt of the road measured by an inclinometer attached to the vehicle and the calculated covered distance.

  • Patent number: 4861621
Abstract: Pultrusion with cure by ultraviolet (UV) radiation, for manufacturing FRP wherein a continuous reinforcing material, most commonly, glass roving is first impregnated with a curable liquid resin and pulled through a UV transmittent die having a desired cross section and a sufficient length to effect the cure and, during passage through such a die, the continuous resinous material or FRP material is subjected to exposure to UV radiation to complete the pultrusion. The invention lies in prevention of sticking trend of the uncured resinous material onto the internal wall of the die. The present invention eliminates the sticking trend by a coating on the internal wall of the glass die. Another embodiment of the pultrusion uses a pipe die having a short length which is insufficient to allow completion of the cure reactions, and then, after passing through such a die, the FRP material to be cured is introduced into a medium liquid of UV transmittent type pressure and therein the material is exposed to UV radiation.
