  • Publication number: 20140168725
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: an image reading mechanism configured to read an image from a document; an image forming mechanism configured to print the image read by the image reading mechanism on a recording sheet; and an image inspection mechanism configured to read the image printed on the recording sheet in the image forming mechanism. The image reading mechanism and the image inspection mechanism each include: a light source configured to irradiate a reading target with light; and a solid-state image sensing device on which reflected light from the reading target is made incident, and configured to perform photoelectric conversion operation. Light emitting members forming the light sources of the image reading mechanism and the image inspection mechanism have the same spectral characteristics.

  • Publication number: 20110025745
Abstract: It is sought to allow a control unit part to be made up simply and at low cost, to prevent oozing out at an edge portion of a printing image and to enable inkjet printing at high quality regardless of kinds of the recording medium. To this end, there is provided a method of applying an undercoat in an ink jet recording apparatus of line type for printing recorded information, including an ink jet type undercoating unit for prior undercoating on a recorded information printing portion wherein undercoating data are prepared by software manipulation on the basis of printing information recorded data, characterized in that it comprises: laying a mask beneath a layer of a printing image and detecting an edge of the printing image; and on the basis of a mask information having the printing image extracted by software manipulation, applying an undercoat to an area covering from the printing image to an outer side of an edge portion of the printing image.

  • Patent number: 6253371
Abstract: In order to generate a source program or an object code which can be executed in parallel efficiency by detecting an independent operation of a large grain size from a program which can not be analyzed by the compiler, a parallelization supporting tool inputs a result of an output of the interprocedural analyzer 120 and the source program. A program of intermediate language is produced by the parse and the program of information of common and dummy argument variables is reflected into the program of intermediate language by the interprocedural variable information read processing. After a control flow analysis and a dataflow analysis have been carried out, dependency unknown variables are extracted and parallelizability conditions are produced. Based on the result of the produced conditions, questions and answers are made with the user or a condition statement is inserted into the source program to execute the program and a decision of parallelizability is made.

  • Patent number: 5999622
Abstract: To facilitate protected distribution of digital data files, the files are segmented, and each segment (e.g. disk sector) is encrypted separately. Some segments can be left unencrypted, speeding access since less decryption is required. Different segments can utilize different encryption techniques, increasing protection against unauthorized decryption. A table stored in association with the encrypted data provides authorized users with data identifying the encrypted segments, and the form of encryption used. Decryption is accomplished with a layered set of operating system software that operates in conjunction with said table. Specialized APIs aren't used; applications programs are provided with unencrypted data using conventional APIs. Internal interfaces, invisible to the APIS, intercept normal processing calls (e.g READs) and direct them to internal decryption software that returns decrypted data back to the APIs.

  • Patent number: 5179700
Abstract: An interactive computer system for converting user interface presentations from a first application specified format to a second user specified format. The system accepts application program output designed to be displayed on a target type of computer system terminal and, converts the display to a user specified form prior to display. Through conversion apparatus and process the user may specify a customized format for presentation of the data from the application program to take advantage of the capabilities of a particular display device employed by that user. The system analyses the application program output, and converts the output to a form required by the customized interface and display the resulting output on the user display device. The system is able to accept data input and commands from the user display device, convert them into a form required by the application program and transmit that input or command to the application program.
