Abstract: An automatic focusing apparatus for use with a camera of the type having two interchangeable lenses with different focal lengths, includes a ranging device for finding in which distance range is located an object to be photographed, i.e., close range or long range. The ranging device is capable of shifting the position of the boundary between short range and long range when interchanging lenses in order to widen the limits of the range in which either of the lenses can be focused better.

Abstract: A camera has first and second switches which turn ON/OFF in association with a wide-angle/telephotography changeover member. The first switch turns ON when the wide-angle/telephotography changeover member is in the wide-angle position, and the second switch turns ON when the wide-angle/telephotography changeover member is in the telephoto position. An incorrect lens setting signal is generated when both the first and the second switches are OFF. Upon generation of the incorrect lens setting signal, an incorrect position display is actuated and the operation of the camera is stopped.

Abstract: An over head projector has a standard projection lens for projecting the whole view of an original image and a partial projection lens for projecting a part of the original image in enlarged scale. One of the projection lenses is selectively brought to a projection position for projecting the original image onto a projection screen. A stage for supporting the original image is vertically movable and is moved up and down when the projection lens is changed. The selection of the projection lens and the vertical movement of the stage are associated with each other so that the original image is always at a proper position with respect to the focal length of the selected projection lens.
