  • Patent number: 6670991
Abstract: In an image sensing system where a camera apparatus and a client device are connected for controlling the camera apparatus by the client device, the client device displays and arbitrarily shifts a predetermined size of detection area in an object image sensed by the camera apparatus, enabling to quickly perform camera parameter control, such as focus adjustment or the like, based on image signals of the detection area, with a small amount of transferring data. Moreover, detection areas of a sensed image are synthesized by controlling camera parameters for each of the detection areas so as to optimize camera parameters for all of the areas in the object image.

  • Publication number: 20030001823
Abstract: An information terminal comprises display means for performing a large-screen display via a sculptured surface prism. The information terminal connects to a cellular telephone using Bluetooth technology, obtains information held by a WWW server on the Internet through cooperation with the cellular telephone, and displays a screen for viewing the obtained information on the display means. Also, button operations made at the cellular telephone can be taken as input of the information terminal for performing operations on the screen of the display means. Thus, a portable information terminal which enables viewing of information on a network with a large screen can be provided, without compromising portability or operability.

  • Publication number: 20020067412
Abstract: A camera control system for displaying a video image inputted from a plurality of cameras, wherein in order to easily control each camera, a map showing positions of cameras is prepared. Along with the map, icons indicating the positions of cameras are displayed on the map so that the directions of the cameras can be identified on the map. An operator is able to select a camera referring to the map and see the video image of the selected camera. When each of the cameras is to be operated, an operator uses a pointing device to operate an icon for a camera on the map. In this camera control system, a camera corresponding to each icon can be controlled for zooming, panning, tilting and focusing by operating the icon for each camera. An operator may delete, add or move the icon for a camera according to an actual structure of the camera system.

  • Publication number: 20010045983
Abstract: When an access request (a request for transfer of video and audio information or a request for a camera operation) to a camera apparatus connected to a network via a terminal is issued via the network, a camera management server processes the access request on the basis of an access right set by a user (or a manager) using the terminal to which the camera apparatus is connected. That is, the camera management server refers to an access right set file and grants or denies permission to access for the user whose has issued the access request. The user to whom the access permission is granted requests a camera control server to permit a camera operation via a camera control client and thereby can receive an image taken by the camera apparatus and voices collected by the camera apparatus and can perform panning, tilting, and zooming of the camera apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6208379
Abstract: A camera control system is disclosed where the control system selects a camera from a plurality of cameras connected to a network, and displays an image taken by the selected camera and further performs control functions on the selected camera. The control system first contains a map display, which represents the relative area where the plurality of controllable cameras are set. The control system next contains a symbol display configuration for representing each camera, and also contains a display-not-permitted area setting configuration, which disallows display functions relative to each network client's status on the network. The control system subsequently transmits each client's respective view and information in accordance to their request and corresponding status.

  • Patent number: 4099205
Abstract: A television signal is encoded by the use of a sampling pulse synchronized with a color subcarrier frequency included in an input television signal, the encoded signal is compressed and recorded in a memory for later reproduction of a desired compressed picture image having a desired size and center position, the recorded signal is reproduced under the control of a clock pulse signal produced in synchronism with a sync signal obtained in a studio, for example, and the reproduced signal is corrected by inverting the polarity of the chroma component according to frame information at the time of recording of said reproduced signal. Thus, it is possible to freely obtain phase coupling of different synchronizing signals; for instance, it is possible to bring the phase of a different television signal of a different synchronization system into coincidence with the phase of a central synchronization signal and it is possible to reproduce an object image optionally compressed on a TV display screen.
