  • Publication number: 20180106378
Abstract: In an embodiment, a rotating-side seal ring 5 is formed in a substantially pentagonal shape in cross section having a cut portion 5a at which a corner portion on the inside-diameter side and the side opposite to a sealing face is cut in a tapered shape. A cup gasket 7 is fitted over the inside-diameter side and the back-surface side, and is formed in a substantially L shape in cross section including an axial portion 7a in contact with the inside-diameter side and an inner cylindrical portion of the sleeve 2 and a radial portion 7b in contact with the back-surface side and a radial portion of the sleeve 2, and has a corner portion 7c facing the cut portion 5a formed in a shape along it. The thickness of the corner portion 7c is set larger than a gap between the inside-diameter side and the inner cylindrical portion.

  • Patent number: 9581248
Abstract: To provide a mechanical seal in which degradation or tearing of a bellows does not occur, the spring constant of the bellows is reduced, and the fluctuation in the load due to stretching and contracting of the bellows is reduced. An inside-type mechanical seal includes a sleeve fixed to a rotating shaft, and a cartridge fixed to a housing. A rotation-side sealing ring is provided to the sleeve. A fixed-side sealing ring, which slides against the rotation-side sealing ring, and a bellows for axially urging the fixed-side sealing ring is provided to the cartridge. The bellows is made from a metal; and the metal bellows has one end fixed to a case for holding the fixed-side sealing ring and another end fixed to the cartridge. The plate thickness of the metal bellows is set so as to be smaller than the plate thickness of the case or the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 9420946
Abstract: A user can know the level of his/her own binocular vision. When an input instruction is input by the user via an input part, an information management part outputs a test request to a testing device, and a determination processing part obtains test results output from the testing device. The determination processing part determines a total level based on the test results and on information stored in a storage part. The determination processing part outputs the obtained total level to an output processing part. The output processing part generates a display screen in which the obtained total level and indices associated with the total level are written. The output processing part outputs the generated display screen to a display part. This causes the display part to display the display screen, and the user can know the concrete level of his/her own binocular vision.

  • Patent number: 5577577
Abstract: A disc brake that is less likely to squeak during braking. A guide portion on a torque member has a point at which the force counteracting the braking force is produced. This point is disposed nearer to a line pass through the center of the disc than is a parallel line passing the center of the brake cylinder and extending tangentially to a circle concentric with the disc. Thus, due to the tangential force produced during braking, angular moment is produced in the same direction as the angular moment produced due to the braking force. The sum of these two angular moments act to restrain the rotation of the pads. The movement of the pads are thus strongly restrained, so that they are less likely to vibrate. Thus, it is possible to prevent squeaking of the brake resulting from vibrations of the pads.

  • Patent number: 5474371
Abstract: Disclosed is an antilock brake control fluid pressure system, when in effecting antilock control, fluid is supplied from a pump to the flow valve by way of a second fluid inlet. Furthermore, in order to achieve one-way supply of fluid from the master cylinder to the second fluid inlet, a check valve is arranged in parallel with a throttle between the master cylinder and the second fluid inlet. With the above arrangement, a continuous fluid supply is achieved from the master cylinder to the second fluid inlet by way of the check valve even when no fluid exists in an expansion chamber, thereby enabling a metal-edge control at the second fluid inlet allowing the first fluid inlet to be kept in a cut-off condition to thereby suppress reverse pulsation, pump noise, and vibration to the brake pedal.

  • Patent number: 4832415
Abstract: A wheel speed control arrangement for an anti-lock braking system of a motor vehicle, in which a pressure increasing rate is adapted to be varied according to difference values .DELTA.V of an estimated vehicle body speed V when pressure application is required, whereby it becomes possible to effectively prevent deterioration in the feeling of riding during braking on the road liable to cause slippage, while advantageously avoiding the locking of wheels. On the other hand, on the road difficult to cause slippage, insufficient speed reduction is positively eliminated, thus enabling the braking distance to be suppressed to the minimum.

  • Patent number: 4667476
Abstract: An improved booster for use with a master cylinder in a brake system is proposed which includes a spring for keeping the input shaft away from the booster piston. The spring has one end abutting on a piston acted by the auxiliary pressure from the auxiliary power source and the other end abutting on the brake pedal to bear the pedal stepping force. The input shaft will not engage the booster piston except in case of the failure of the auxiliary power source, ect.
