  • Publication number: 20050149957
Abstract: A recording/reproducing apparatus includes a cartridge holder 4 which is rotatably provided on a chassis 2, into which a disc cartridge 18 enclosing a magneto-optical disc is inserted, and which holds the inserted disc cartridge 18, an optical pickup 21 that irradiates laser light onto the magneto-optical disc, a magnetic head 23 that is provided on the upper surface side of the cartridge holder 4 facing the optical pickup 21 and that is moved between a lowered position close to the optical disc and a raised position away from the magneto-optical disc, at least one first sliding member 50 that is movably provided on the cartridge holder 4, a head raising/lowering mechanism 60 that moves the magnetic head 23 between the upper position and the lower position by moving the first sliding member 50, and a driving mechanism 7 that is disposed on a lower surface side of the chassis 2, engages the sliding member 50, and moves the first sliding member 50.

  • Publication number: 20050018548
Abstract: A recording/reproducing device using a magneto-optical disc as a recording medium having a holder for holding a magneto-optical disc and moving the magneto-optical disc between a disc unloading position and a disc loading position, a turntable for rotating the magneto-optical disc, an optical pickup for casting a light beam onto a signal recording surface of the magneto-optical disc, a magnetic head arranged to face the optical pickup on the opposite sides side of the magneto-optical disc and moving toward and away from the magneto-optical disc, and a rotating ejection lever positioned on a base for ejecting the magneto-optical disc held by the holder. Since the ejection lever is arranged on the side of the base where the optical pickup is arranged, the space within the device body is effectively used, thus realizing miniaturization.

  • Patent number: 4514152
Abstract: A power steering apparatus comprises a housing, a gerotor mechanism having a rotor and a stator, and a rotary valve mechanism constituted by a rotary spool disposed within the central interior of the housing and connected to the rotor of the gerotor mechanism and a rotary sleeve freely rotatably attached to the outside of the rotary spool so as to allow insertion of the rotary spool thereinto. Rotation of the sleeve relative to the spool due to a steering operation switches over the flow paths for pressurized liquid to the gerotor mechanism to thereby rotate the rotor of the gerotor mechanism in the direction corresponding to the steering operation. The pressurized liquid in an amount proportional to the degree of the steering operation is supplied from the liquid chambers of the gerotor mechanism contracted by the rotation of the rotor to actuators of a steering mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4298318
Abstract: A rotary valve for changing the connections of the fluid inlet passages and the fluid outlet passages of a Gerotor type fluid rotary machine in which the fluid is contracted and expanded by a plurality of cavities defined by the teeth formed on a stator and a rotor in response to the orbital rotation of the rotor formed with one less external tooth than the number of the internal teeth on the stator. The rotary valve selectively connects the fluid passages with the Gerotor cavities by means of its rotary commutator which orbits with a phase difference of 90.degree. with respect to the Gerotor rotor, and the commutator is rotatably accommodated in a spacer disposed between an end cover and a port member having a plurality of fluid passages. The clearance at each side of the commutator is permanently determined by the width of the spacer.
