Abstract: An object of the present invention is to transmit and receive a very large file with high reliability and with efficiency using the Internet, which is apt to be unstable, without special operation in a client PC. A file transmitting system according to the present invention is configured as a system in which a client PC 10 is connected via Internet 40 to a processing system comprising a WWW server 20, a management terminal server 30, an AP server 33, and a file server 34. Transmission of file data between a PC and a transfer file 36 of the file server is performed using HTTPS (HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure) that uses a dedicated program. The file data is divided into data having a fixed size, each of which is compressed for transmission. In addition, in preparation for occurrence of a failure, a checkpoint for retransmission is provided for each divided data. The dedicated program is devised so that multi-platform is supported.

The solution is dried and peeled from the substrate. The resultant film is sintered. There is also disclosed an apparatus for producing flakes of glass. The apparatus comprises means 2 for applying solution 1 containing an organic metal compound to a substrate 3 taking the form of a loop, means 4 for drying the film created by the solution containing the organic metal compound, and means 5 for collecting flakes obtained by peeling the dried film from the substrate. The substrate forms a circulatory continuous conveyance path which passes through the applying means, the drying means, and the collecting means in succession.

Abstract: A thermal-transfer recording sheet of an aromatic polyester film, wherein at least one surface of said sheet has, as a thermal-transfer ink receiving layer, a coating of a composition comprising (1) a copolyester, (2) a polyolefin fine particle filler and (3) an antistatic compound selected from the group consisting of organic titanate and organic zirconate. The above thermal-transfer recording sheet exhibits excellent adhesion to heat-melting inks and excellent capability of receiving heat-melting ink layers and has good antistatic properties.

Abstract: Manila grass (also South Japanese grass; Zoysia matrella L.) usually completely withers at the leaf part in winter in an area where frost occurs. The present variety of Manila grass is characterized by the ability to maintain green leaves (evergreen) in a whole year, a trait which has not been observed in other Manila grass varieties.The general characteristics of the present variety include somewhat straight grasses, slender leaf blades, and vividly green leaves, as well as dense greens which can be maintained in all seasons. The variety is somewhat resistant to turfgrass rust disease and is also resistant to usual pests, thereby reducing the cost of pesticides. In addition, the frequency of sprinkling, fertilization, and trimming can be reduced, so that labor can be saved in cultivating the variety.
