  • Publication number: 20120069018
Abstract: A generating unit generates a 3D model of an object based on pair images obtained for the same object. An extracting unit extracts plural first feature points from a to-be-synthesis 3D model and plural second feature points from a synthesis 3D model. An obtaining unit obtains a coordinate conversion parameter based on the plural first feature points and second feature points. A converting unit converts a coordinate of the synthesis 3D model in a coordinate in the coordinate system of the to-be-synthesis 3D model using the coordinate conversion parameter. A synthesizing unit synthesizes all converted synthesis 3D models with the to-be-synthesis 3D model, and unifies feature points. A storing unit stores the synthesized 3D model of the object and information on the unified feature points in a memory card, etc. The stored data is used in an AR process.

  • Publication number: 20110316976
Abstract: An imaging apparatus generates a 3D model using a photographed image of a subject and generates a 3D image based on the 3D model. When a corresponding point corresponding to a point forming the 3D model does not form a 3D model generated using a photographed image photographed at a different photographing position, the imaging apparatus determines that the point is noise, and removes the point determined as noise from the 3D model. The imaging apparatus generates a 3D image based on the 3D model from which the point determined as noise is removed.

  • Publication number: 20110249117
Abstract: The distance between two points specified on an object is measured. The imaging part acquires a pair of images having parallax in one imaging operation on one and the same object. The display part displays a display image based on at least one image of the pair of images acquired. The reception part receives a start point and an end point specified on the object in the display image. The distance acquisition part calculates the positions in a real space of the start and end points specified on the object based on one pair or multiple pairs of images and acquires the distance between the start and end points on the object based on the calculated start and end point positions in the real space.

  • Publication number: 20110227924
Abstract: A 3D modeling apparatus includes: an accepting unit configured to accept sets of images; a generator configured to generate 3D models of a subject based on the sets of images; a selector configured to select first and second 3D models from the 3D models, wherein the second 3D model is to be superimposed on the first 3D model; a divider configured to divide the second 3D model into second regions; a specifying unit configured to specify first regions in the first 3D model, wherein each of the first regions corresponds to one of the second regions; an acquiring unit configured to acquire coordinate transformation parameters; a transformation unit configured to transform coordinates of the second regions based on the coordinate transformation parameters; and an updating unit configured to superimpose the second regions having the transformed coordinates on the first regions to update the first 3D model.

  • Publication number: 20110221869
Abstract: A finder display processing unit displays a finder image on a finder screen, measures the distance through triangulation from a stereo camera to a part of a subject expressed in a designated region on the finder image, and designates the shortest distance and the farthest distance from the stereo camera to the subject on the basis of the distance acquired through distance measurement. A finder display processing unit specifies as an effective range candidate a range where the imaging ranges of the first imaging unit and a second imaging unit overlap, specifies an effective range candidate at the shortest distance and an effective range candidate at the farthest distance on the first photographed image, and specifies the range where these effective range candidates overlap as the effective range. The finder display processing unit displays on the finder screen information indicating the specified effective range.

  • Patent number: 6729787
Abstract: An applicator has a tubular body containing a liquid to be dispensed. A non-return device is movably disposed in the tubular body rearwardly of and in contact with the liquid for preventing backflow of the liquid. A manually-displaceable piston member is displaceable in the tubular body in a forward direction for pressurizing air admitted into a chamber located in front of the piston member, and a normally closed valve communicates with the chamber and is openable by the force of the pressurized air to apply the pressurized air to the non-return device to urge the non-return device forwardly to thereby pressurize the liquid. A resilient member normally urges the piston member rearwardly to a rear stop position. An air passage communicates the chamber with the exterior of the applicator when the piston member is in the rear stop position, and the air passage is blocked by the piston member during displacement of the piston member in the forward direction.
