  • Patent number: 4555691
Abstract: A shift-up indicating system for manual speed change gears of an automobile transmission wherein preset values are respectively provided for the speed of the automobile, the engine speed of the engine and the vacuum pressure of the engine to determine a region of running conditions which can provide a good fuel consumption for every shift position of the speed change gears such that when a driver selects one of the predetermined gear positions of the speed change gears, if the condition of fuel consumption is brought out of the determined region, then an indication is given to the driver by an illuminating indicator to thereby urge the driver to shift up the speed change gears to a higher gear.

  • Patent number: 4349823
Abstract: An automotive radar monitor system for monitoring an object or objects running in the front and/or in the rear, left and/or right with respect to the vehicle equipped with the system. The radar monitor system is specifically designed to provide a driver with an indication of the state of an approaching object or objects in the traffic at any given moment by way of an integrally simulated pattern which can be recognized at a glance, together with an audible indication.

  • Patent number: 4348675
Abstract: An FM-CW type radar system, for use in an automotive vehicle, which is specifically designed with a signal processor of relatively simple construction having an improved capability of identifying an object, particularly a plurality of objects, to be identified in suurrounding traffic or road areas. The system is particularly effective in overcoming possible error in detection of the object(s) due to reflected or scattering waves from the road surface or the like as experienced in the general radar navigation system for detecting the approaching or interfering object(s) by the provision of incessant radar monitoring along with the path of travel of the vehicle equipped with the radar system so as to eventually maintain a safe relative distance and/or velocity of that vehicle with respect to the object(s) in the surrounding traffic or road areas.

  • Patent number: 4072925
Abstract: A warning system for automotive vehicles of a construction, wherein a plurality of abnormality detectors are disposed at various locations in the vehicle so that any possible abnormality to occur may be detected, a plurality of abnormality indicators are connected to the abnormality detectors so as to be instantaneously actuated as soon as detection signals are received from the abnormality detectors and to thereby indicate abnormal situation taking place at any part of the vehicle; a plurality of action indicators are connected to the abnormality indicators to warn the driver of the action to be taken depending on the degree of the abnormal situation, and a preferential circuit is disposed in a connecting circuit between the abnormality detectors and the plurality of action indicators so as to preferentially introduce a detection signal of the highest emergency into the action indicator corresponding to such detection signal.
