  • Publication number: 20090297799
Abstract: The present invention provides an anti-fouling printing sheet, characterized by including a transparent support sheet, a hydrophilic anti-fouling layer provided on one side of the support sheet, and a printing surface provided on the opposite side of the support sheet; and an anti-fouling printed product and printed object having an image printed thereon. The anti-fouling printing sheet, printed product, and printed object exhibit a self-cleaning property based on a photocatalytic action for a long period of time.

  • Patent number: 4976906
Abstract: Continuous rod-like molding having a FRP core and an outer skin of thermoplastic resin is shaped by introducing the molding into a passage of a heated die, the passage having a diameter slightly smaller at an exit thereof than an initial diameter of the molding, plasticizing the thermoplastic resin by passing the molding through the passage, thereby removing a part of the outer skin, and solidifying the thermoplastic resin, thereby obtaining a product having a diameter equal to the diameter of the exit of the passage.

  • Patent number: 4907854
Abstract: In an optical fiber carrying spacer which has helical grooves for carrying optical fibers with each groove changing the direction of its helix for each turn about the spacer, each helical groove includes extra-length portions and compensating portions both formed at a smaller angle to a longitudinal axis of the spacer than main groove portions. The extra-length portions are each provided at a position where the direction of the helix changes. The compensating portions are each provided between adjacent extra-length portions at an angular distance ranging from 1/4 to 3/4 of the circumference of the spacer. The spacer effectively prevents stresses from being applied to the optical fibers along the longitudinal direction when the spacer is bent or curved.

  • Patent number: 4795234
Abstract: A single-core cord of reinforced optical fiber comprising an optical fiber element including an optical fiber and a primary coating formed of silicone rubber and covering the optical fiber, and a secondary coating covering the optical fiber element. The secondary coating has a three-layer structure which comprises a reinforcing inner layer formed of longitudinally arranged reinforcing fibers and cured non-styrene binder comprising an unsaturated polyester resin containing a non-styrene monomer as a cross-linking agent, a reinforcing outer layer formed of fiber-reinforced cured styrene resin and a surface layer formed of thermoplastic resin, the reinforcing outer layer and the surface layer being intimately bonded together with an anchoring effect therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4770834
Abstract: A method of continuous molding a rod-like product includes forming an uncured rod-like molding by passing reinforcing fibers impregnated with uncured thermosetting resin through a squeezing die having a predetermined shape. Molten thermoplastic fluororesin is extruded in a ring shape to enclose the rod-like molding. A sheathing layer of the thermoplastic resin is formed by causing the thermoplastic resin to come into contact with the outer periphery of the uncured rod-like molding and by cooling and solidifying the thermoplastic resin. The uncured rod-like molding and the sheathing layer are introduced into a heated tank thereby hardening the thermosetting resin. The sheathing layer is stripped from the molding to form a rod-like product having a surface of fiber reinforced thermosetting resin.

  • Patent number: 4725453
Abstract: A reinforced optical fiber includes a reinforcing inner layer interposed between a buffer layer of silicon rubber and a FRP layer made of styrene resin and fibers. The reinforcing inner layer is formed by binding filaments attached longitudinally onto the buffer layer with a non-styrene resin. The additional reinforcing inner layer improves crushing resistance and also keeps low an increase of transmission loss. The reinforcing inner layer directly covering the buffer layer is formed by the steps of longitudinally attaching dry filaments to the buffer layer and then impregnating the filaments with a curable resin.

  • Patent number: 4720368
Abstract: A method of forming a fiber reinforced synthetic resin rod-like molding including a rod-like core portion having at least in the outer portion thereof a reinforcing fiber bundle integrally adhered together by a thermosetting resin and a thermoplastic resin layer coating the core portion is disclosed. The outer surface portion of the core portion and the inner surface portion of the thermoplastic resin layer are integrally adhered together due to an anchor effect generated by contacting between the thermosetting resin and the thermoplastic resin in a semifluid state under pressure.
