  • Patent number: 5525298
Abstract: A device for delivering a serum sample from a blood collection tube into one or more sample vessels or reaction vessels, including a pair of arms which are arranged movably in opposite directions, a motor for driving the arms to selectively grasp the blood collection tube, a block to which the arms are provided, a motor for rotating the block over 135 degrees, a needle-like suction nozzle secured to the block, a syringe having a main body coupled with the suction nozzle and a piston arranged movably within the main body, a motor for driving a piston of the syringe, a slide block on which the block is arranged rotatably, a motor for moving the slide block in right and left directions, a base member arranged movably up and down, and a motor for driving the base member up and down.

  • Patent number: 5380486
Abstract: An apparatus for taking a sample blood collected in a vacuum type blood collection tube having a main tube and a cap hermetically secured to an opening of the main tube, including a suction nozzle which is inserted into the main tube through the cap and an air supply nozzle which is also inserted into the main tube through the cap. During the sample blood is sucked into the suction nozzle, an air is supplied into the main tube through the air supply tube such that a pressure inside the main tube is kept substantially at the atmospheric pressure. The sample blood may be sucked, while the main tube is moved substantially up side down. In case of removing the cap by a cap removing mechanism, the air supply nozzle is inserted into the main tube through the cap and the pressure inside the main tube is increased to the atmospheric pressure or a positive pressure. A given amount of the blood sample can be taken out of the tube without being affected by the pressure inside the tube.

  • Patent number: 4164762
Abstract: A control apparatus for use in a frequency band compression facsimile receiver comprising means for generating a halt signal for a given duration at the time of engagement and/or disengagement of a sheet feed clutch and at the time of operation of a roll sheet cutter and means for interrupting reception of a record signal and reception of a request for transporting a record sheet in response to said halt signal. According to this invention, the timings of recording an image on a record sheet, transportation of the record sheet, feeding of a roll sheet and cutting of the roll sheet can be controlled at the time of engagement and/or disengagement of the sheet feed clutch or at the time of the cutter and such controls can be easily adjusted. As a result, an improved recorded image is obtained and the length of a sheet to be cut from a roll sheet is stabilized, without causing the jamming of record sheets.

  • Patent number: 4142214
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a facsimile transmitter and receiver in which operations at a receiving end are automatically effected in succession by a control signal delivered from a sending end. The transmitter functions to deliver a continuous "1" signal. The receiver functions to automatically start its operation when the continuous "1" signal continues for a time longer than a predetermined time. The transmitter comprises a manuscript detector. When the front end of a manuscript to be transmitted is detected a phase signal is delivered. The receiver comprises a detector and a discrimination circuit. When the phase signal is detected, a record sheet is delivered and recorded and when depletion of the phase signal is detected, a cutter is operated to cut the record sheet. The distance between the front end of the manuscript and a reading head is made equal to the distance between the front end of the record sheet and a recording head.
