Patent number: 7331966Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device (such as guidewire inserter) for easily and certainly inserting a medical long item having a curved tip into a tube such as catheter and sheath. The guidewire inserter is a tubular member having therein a bore for passage of a guidewire. The tubular member has a slit cutting across the wall thereof over the total length thereof. The tubular member has at the proximal end thereof an aperture, which results from the slit expanding toward the proximal end. The tubular member has at the proximal end of the aperture an open part and a connecting part adjacent thereto for the holder tube. There are a pair of wing-like protruded pieces projecting in the mutually opposite directions at both sides of the open part. The distal end of the tubular member has on its outer surface a pair of protruded rims, which project in the mutually opposite directions with respect to the central axis of the tubular member.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 2005Date of Patent: February 19, 2008Assignee: Terumo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Katsuaki Soma, Toshiaki Takagi, Hiroshi Yagi, Takayuki Mori, Katsuhiro Shirakawa, Hiraku Murayama

Publication number: 20070177479Abstract: An information reproducing apparatus reads information recorded on a recording medium and outputs a reproduced signal, and performs, for the reproduced signal, analog offset correction of correcting offset before AD conversion, digital offset correction of correcting offset after AD conversion, and offset detection of detecting an offset control amount from a corrected reproduced signal after the digital offset correction. Further, the information reproducing apparatus divides offset data indicating the detected offset control amount into first offset data of a least significant bit unit for the AD conversion of the reproduced signal or greater and second offset data less than the least significant bit unit so as to perform the digital offset correction using the first offset data and perform the analog offset correction using the second offset data.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 4, 2006Publication date: August 2, 2007Applicant: KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOSHIBAInventors: Yukiyasu Tatsuzawa, Hideyuki Yamakawa, Takayuki Mori, Takahiro Nango, Toshihiko Kaneshige

Patent number: 7161614Abstract: There is provided parallax correction means for correcting a parallax for each area calculated by parallax calculation means in accordance with the magnitude of a motion vector for the area detected by motion vector detection means in order to prevent the three-dimensional effect of a conversion video from greatly differing depending on an input video when the MTD method and the CID method are simultaneously used. When a depth estimate is converted into a parallax, the depth estimate is subjected to distance scale conversion in order to suppress the distortion of the conversion image, to find a tentative target phase for each parallax calculation area, and a dynamic range in which a phase difference between the parallax calculation areas is within a distortion allowable range is searched for and is subjected to distance scale conversion, to find a tentative target phase, which operations are repeated.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 2000Date of Patent: January 9, 2007Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Syugo Yamashita, Haruhiko Murata, Toshiya Iinuma, Mitsuo Nakashima, Takayuki Mori

Patent number: 6621927Abstract: A boundary position detection apparatus in which the position of an imageless part (containing no meaningful image information) lying at the upper part or/and the lower part of a picture is precisely detected from a video signal. A line decision circuit decides whether each of lines constituting the picture belongs to an image part (containing meaningful image information) or to the imageless part. A boundary decision circuit decides the boundary between the image part and the imageless part. A time integration circuit integrates the detected boundary positions temporally, and determines a final boundary position. A detection control circuit finds an image-part region from the final position, detects the average luminance of the region and controls the integrating time interval of the time integration circuit with the average luminance.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 1999Date of Patent: September 16, 2003Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Takayuki Mori, Nobufumi Nakagaki, Yumi Bando, Shinobu Torikoshi, Sunao Suzuki, Toshinori Murata

Patent number: 6143262Abstract: Nitrous oxide contained in a gas is directly decomposed by contacting the gas with a catalyst layer composed mainly of tin (IV) oxide at a reaction temperature of not less than 250.degree. C., preferably not less than 300.degree. C. Particularly when a cobalt (II) compound is added to the catalyst layer, nitrous oxide can be effectively removed to a low concentration by contacting the gas with the catalyst layer at the reaction temperature of not less than 200.degree. C., preferably not less than 300.degree. C. By the present process, nitrous oxide which has not conventionally effectively removed can be reliably removed at a low cost. The present process can be applied for the removal of nitrous oxide in exhaust gases discharged from a sludge-incinerating furnace, a boiler fine powder coal combustion furnace, etc.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 1995Date of Patent: November 7, 2000Assignees: NGK Insulators, Ltd., Yuichi MurakamiInventors: Yuichi Murakami, Tadashi Hattori, Atsushi Satsuma, Hideaki Muramatsu, Katsuhiro Tokura, Takayuki Mori

Patent number: 6073948Abstract: A rear fender mounting structure includes features for simplifying the assembly of a rear fender, sub-frame, and grab rails to a rear frame of a motorcycle. The sub-frame has brackets welded onto it. The brackets include holes with protruding collars defining the holes. The rear fender has holes lined with rubber bushings. The protruding collars are fitted into the rubber bushings. The rear fender includes a bracket which is hooked over a crossbar of the motorcycle frame. The fender is then lifted from its rear end, by pivoting the bracket about the crossbar. When alignment occurs between the bracket holes and holes in the rear frame, linkage plates with bolts extending therefrom, are employed. The bolts are passed through the aligned holes. Next, holes in the grab rails can be easily aligned with the ends of the bolts. Nuts are used to secure the arrangement.Type: GrantFiled: December 10, 1997Date of Patent: June 13, 2000Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tomoyasu Motojima, Seiji Hanafusa, Hitoshi Suzuki, Yuji Tsujimoto, Tadashi Sugano, Takayuki Mori
