  • Publication number: 20240101380
Abstract: A medium conveying apparatus includes a plurality of feed rollers, each feed roller rotating independently at a respective speed to feed a medium, a first sensor located on a downstream side of the plurality of feed rollers in a medium conveying direction and also in a central part in a direction perpendicular to the medium conveying direction, to detect the medium, a second sensor and a third sensor located on both sides of the first sensor in the direction perpendicular to the medium conveying direction, to respectively detect the medium, and a processor to change the speed of one of the plurality of feed rollers at least until the first sensor detects the medium when any of the second sensor or the third sensor detects the medium and the first sensor does not detect the medium within a predetermined time.

  • Publication number: 20240085764
Abstract: An electronic apparatus includes a plurality of contacts electrically connectable to an accessory and arranged in a first direction orthogonal to a direction in which the accessory is attached. The contacts include an attachment detection contact to detect an attachment of the accessory to the electronic apparatus, and a communication request contact for a communication request from the accessory to the electronic apparatus. The attachment detection and communication request contacts are disposed between a contact closest one end and a contact closest to another end in the first direction. The attachment detection contact is disposed between the communication request contact and the contact closest to the one end. In the first direction, a distance between the attachment detection contact and the communication request contact is shorter than that between the communication request contact and the contact closest to the other end.

  • Publication number: 20160056489
Abstract: A secondary battery type fuel cell system is equipped with a fuel generation member and a power-generation/electrolysis unit and circulates gas between the fuel generation member and the power-generation/electrolysis unit. Among a start-up mode for starting to operate a system, a normal operation mode for normally operating the system, and a stop mode for stopping the operation of the system, at least in the normal operation mode, the value of power output from the power-generation/electrolysis unit when the power-generation/electrolysis unit is generating power and/or the value of power supplied to the power-generation/electrolysis unit when the power-generation/electrolysis unit is performing electrolysis is temporally changed.

  • Patent number: 8945454
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a substrate provided with a surface portion having a plurality of concave and convex configurations. The method includes a step of applying a solution between a mold having a configuration corresponding to the concave and convex configurations, and a substrate base member, the solution obtained by dissolving a constructional material for composing the surface portion in a solvent; a step of forming the surface portion by drying the solvent in a state that the solution is applied between the mold and the substrate base member; and a step of releasing the mold from the surface portion. The mold satisfies requirements that a contact angle of a contact portion of the mold to be contacted with the solution is smaller than 90° with respect to the solvent, and that a work of adhesion between the contact portion and the constructional material is smaller than a work of adhesion between the contact portion and the solvent.

  • Publication number: 20120171586
Abstract: Disclosed is a small-sized low-cost fuel cell having high fuel efficiency, wherein a solid oxide electrolyte membrane is interposed between a fuel electrode and an oxidant electrode. The fuel cell comprises a fuel production member which produces a fuel by a chemical reaction with water that is generated at the fuel electrode. A discharge surface of the fuel production member, from which the fuel is discharged, and a supply surface of the fuel electrode, to which the fuel is supplied, are arranged in parallel so as to face each other. The discharge surface discharges the fuel in the form of a plane.
