Abstract: An external preparation for skin containing an alkylresorcinol and being excellent in temperature stability (especially high-temperature stability) and photostability. More particularly an external preparation for skin comprising (a) from 0.01 to 5% by mass of 4-isobutyl resorcinol or a salt thereof, and (b) from 0.01 to 5% by mass of one or more selected from L-ascorbic acid or a salt thereof and a 3-O-alkyl-L-ascorbic acid or a salt thereof. If desired, (c) one or more compounds selected from (c-1) a sterol skeleton-having compound (e.g., POE phytosterols, POE cholestanols), (c-2) a vitamin E derivative, (c-3) a compound such as polyglycerin fatty acid esters, polyoxybutene-polyglycerin alkyl ethers, sucrose fatty acid esters, and (c-4) a sorbitan skeleton-having compound may be incorporated in the preparation.

Abstract: A water-in-oil type emulsion with a highly moisturizing effect on the skin has good emulsion stability and achieves a good feeling in use as a massage cream when a large amount of perfume is blended. The water-in-oil type emulsion includes the following components: (A) glyceryl monooleate, (B) a surfactant having branched chains in an alkyl group, (C) an aqueous component, (D) an oil component, and (E) a perfume component, Conditions (1) and (2) are met by the emulsion. Condition (1): the ratio of the sum of glyceryl monooleate (component (A)) and the surfactant having branched chains in an alkyl group (component (B)) with respect to a total composition is from 5 to 10% by mass. Condition (2): the ratio of perfume component (component (E)) with respect to the total composition is 0.3% by mass or more.

Abstract: There are provided an anti-aging composition, a collagen production promoting composition, a collagen gel contraction promoting composition, and an integrin production promoting composition for promoting integrin production in fibroblasts/epidermal cell, which have improved collagen production promotion effect and are effective for preventing or reducing wrinkle and/or sagging caused by aging. These anti-aging composition and promoting composition comprise, as an active ingredient, a hydrogen peroxide-treated yeast hydrolysate.
