  • Patent number: 6650713
Abstract: A maximum likelihood sequence estimation (MLSE) apparatus which can estimate a maximum likelihood sequence (MLS) correctly, even when an optimum range of an impulse response is changed, includes a range setting device for selecting an optimum range in the impulses detected by an impulse response detector. The MLSE apparatus estimates the MLS by using the impulses in the optimum range as the tap coefficients which are renewed by adaptive estimation in an adaptive control device. The range setting device renews the optimum range, every time the tap coefficients are renewed. The adaptive control device sets up the impulses in the optimum range as the tap coefficients in MLSE means. The MLSE apparatus estimates MLS on the basis of the impulses in the optimum range.

  • Patent number: 6570939
Abstract: In a receiving device, a mixer combines a frequency which is different from a carrier frequency by (2n+½)&ohgr;0 and a reception signal, provided that n is an integer, &ohgr;0=2Π/T, and T is a transmission rate of a base band signal, a filter takes out a base band signal of a center frequency of (2n+½)&ohgr;0 and removes a DC component, so as to sample the signal and put it through A/D conversion, a multiplier combines the signal and a polarity signal, so as to obtain an in-phase component p(nT) of the reception signal at time nT and an orthogonal component q[(n+½)T] of the reception signal at time (n+½)T. A branch metric is calculated and maximum likelihood sequence estimation is executed on the basis of those components and a replica signals pR(nT) and qR[(n+½)T], so as to estimate a signal sequence.

  • Publication number: 20020140284
Abstract: A drain port conduit of an ABS actuator, which extends in a housing straight and perpendicularly to ground for making a backpressure chamber communicate with an outside of the housing, is provided on a side of the backpressure chamber with a small diameter portion and on a side of the ground with a large diameter portion. A ring plate is press fitted to the large diameter portion at an axial end thereof on a side of the ground. A diameter of a hole of the ring plate is smaller than an inner diameter of the small diameter portion so that water is restrained from entering into the drain port conduit and, even if entered, from reaching the backpressure chamber.

  • Publication number: 20020100535
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for vibrating, melting and creating well-bonded resin parts. Pressing the resin parts is started and then the pressing force is increased sharply to a predetermined value and the resin parts are vibrated to heat the resin part contact surfaces. After heat generation is started, the pressing force is increased gradually to a time, when the vibrating of the resin parts is finished, to push out the heated resin material from the contact surfaces. This exposes the new surface of the resin material which is heated at a low degree and thus can prevent the resin material at the contact surface from excessive heat and degradation. Thereafter, the vibration of the resin parts is stopped to solidify the resin material which is not degraded and is in a uniform, melted state throughout the contact surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20020092998
Abstract: A leaf spring for urging a spool toward a flange part of a yoke is provided between a guide fixed to a housing and the spool. Owing to the urging force of the leaf spring, the spool is pressed against the flange part of the yoke, and the yoke can be pressed against the cover through the spool. Thus it is possible to prevent the spool and the yoke from loosening. Further because the leaf spring is provided for each magnet valve, the leaf spring can be commonly used for respective modes of a fluid control apparatus and thus the cost can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 5857186
Abstract: A sorting apparatus in which, while its scale is limited so as not to become large, all of base axis data supplied as its input are sorted in order, and, at the same time, the sorted base axis data are outputted in the sorted order. The sorting apparatus includes a plurality of sorter sections, a base axis data train divider section for supplying partial base axis data trains to these sorter sections, and a comparative result output section for merge/sorting (comparatively selecting) the results of sorting of the individual partial base axis data trains in the plural sorter sections and sequentially outputting the sorted ones of the base axis data in the sorted order. Thus, in the sorting apparatus, base axis data are divided into a plurality of partial base axis data trains, and, after the partial base axis data trains are partially concurrently sorted in the plural sorter sections, the base axis data are sequentially outputted from the comparative result output section in the sorted order.

  • Patent number: 5492626
Abstract: The object of the present invention is reuse of the filtrate of a paint mist-cleaning water mixture as cleaning water without reduction in concentration efficiency. According to the present invention, a waste paint-cleaning water mixture 2 available on trapping a water-based paint mist in cleaning water 1 is concentrated to recover the paint and the aqueous phase is recycled as cleaning water. In this system, the cleaning water prepared by reusing the aqueous phase is adjusted to an acid value of not greater than 10 and a pH value of 7.0 to 9.0. Controlling the amount of low molecular acid components in the aqueous phase in this manner prevents an abnormal viscosity increase in the filtration-concentration of the waste paint-cleaning water mixture.

  • Patent number: 5412694
Abstract: A data demodulator wholly consisting of digital circuits for time division multi-access (TDMA) signals subjected to differential phase-shift-keying (DPSK) is provided. The data demodulator generates a phase difference signal by subjecting .pi./4-shift quadrature phase-shift-keying (.pi./4 QPSK) signals to delayed detection of phase in synchronism with N-phase clock signals (where N is a positive integer), and reproduces a resulting phase difference signal into decision data. A first such data demodulator detects decision errors from the phase difference signal and decision data, and achieves symbol synchronism by sampling the decision data in a clock signal phase involving little decision error. A second such data demodulator supplies the phase difference signal after correcting its D.C. offset due to a frequency drift. In these two data demodulators, the formulas for computing said decision errors and correction values are flexibly varied according to preceding burst information.

  • Patent number: 5391409
Abstract: A diamond film deposited on a substrate heated at less than 400.degree. C. in vapor phase from material gas including hydrogen gas and hydrocarbon gas often incurs low strength, low abrasion resistance, and opacity owing to high concentration of non-diamond ingredients. The inventors have discovered that inclusion of nitrogen gas in material gas is likely to raise the concentration of non-diamond ingredients. Good diamond film of good quality shall be obtained by synthesizing from the material gas in which the nitrogen concentration is less than 1000 ppm. The smaller the nitrogen concentration is suppressed, the higher the quality of diamond rises.
