  • Patent number: 7007289
Abstract: A CD changer mounted on a vehicle is supported in a floating manner to sufficiently damp vibrations and prevent a CD from skipping. Mounting plates and a pair of inner support plates are connected to each other at two front and two rear points by a first set of dampers, which buffer displacement of the mounting plates within a vertical plane relative to the inner support plates. The inner support plates and a pair of outer support plates opposite the inner support plates and supported on the base plates are connected to each other at two front and two rear points by a second set of dampers, which buffer displacement of the inner support plates within a vertical plane relative to the outer support plates. Suspended springs mounted between the mounting plate and the outer support plate exert a spring force to counteract the weight of the CD changer.

  • Patent number: 6883850
Abstract: In a structure of accommodating a CD changer, in which the CD changer biased for turning toward a protruding position is covered with a lid plate closing an open end of an accommodating recess in a state in which the CD changer is in an accommodated position, an engagement portion is provided on the lid plate mounted to a support frame so that it can be slid between a disengaged position and an engaged position. A locking portion is provided on each of base plates so that the locking portion engages with the engagement portion in a state in which the lid plate is at the engaged position, and the engagement with the engagement portion is released in response to the sliding of the lid plate toward the disengaged position. A locking mechanism capable of locking the lid plate in the engaged position and releasing the locked state by a manual operation is provided between the lid plate and the support frame. Thus, it is possible to ensure that the CD changer cannot be turned undesirably to the protruding position.

  • Patent number: 6502884
Abstract: A CD changer support device mountable in a trunk forming a luggage compartment of a motorcycle, includes a storage recess to store a CD changer. The storage recess is provided in a luggage compartment-forming wall of the trunk. A swing support device allows the CD changer to swing between a protruding position where the opening of the CD changer protrudes inside the luggage compartment and a storage position where the CD changer is stored within the storage recess. A cover plate covers the CD changer. When the CD changer is in the storage position, the cover plate blocks the opening of the storage recess so as to be flush with the inner surface of the luggage compartment-forming wall. When an operating force is applied to the swing support device, the CD changer swings between the protruding position and the storage position.
