  • Patent number: 6144389
Abstract: An intelligent terminal device capable of displaying message information to be transmitted/received by using a font having a predetermined size depending upon the amount of the information and of changing fonts having different sizes in response to a command. A message is received by a receiving unit, demodulating unit and data detecting unit, and is stored in a register unit after being passed through a CPU. The amount of information is measured in a character number count unit, where a reference data corresponding to the amount of the information is fed to a display control unit by a comparator. The display control unit selects font from a font storing unit in accordance with the reference data and causes the display unit to display the message stored in the register unit in the selected font. Fonts used for display may be intentionally changed by a user actuating up and down keys of the key pad.

  • Patent number: 4153306
Abstract: Fail-safe apparatus for an anti-skid air braking system include an element serving the purpose of generating signals, the element being responsive to the stroke of a push rod within an air chamber of the air braking mechanism. Signals available for determining abnormal status are obtained as inputs to the fail-safe apparatus via the element by sensing the stroke of the push rod.

  • Patent number: 4141597
Abstract: In an oil pressure controlled brake system, wherein the brake oil contained within a wheel cylinder is returned to an oil reservoir associated with a master cylinder through an electromagnetic cross valve when the wheel lock or impending lock is detected. The brake system includes a pressure control valve interposed within a feedback loop connecting the electromagnetic cross valve to the oil reservoir. The pressure control valve is so constructed as to suddenly reduce the wheel cylinder pressure to a predetermined value and then gradually reduce the wheel cylinder pressure while the electromagnetic cross valve is energized.

  • Patent number: 4123118
Abstract: In an oil pressure controlled brake system, wherein the brake oil contained within a wheel cylinder is returned to an oil reservoir associated with a master cylinder when the wheel lock or impending lock is detected. In a preferred form, an electromagnetic cross valve responsive to the detected wheel lock or impending lock is provided for returning the brake oil from the wheel cylinder to the master cylinder via the electromagnetic cross valve and a pressure control valve.

  • Patent number: 4009914
Abstract: In a skid control system for fluid actuated brakes of a wheeled vehicle, it is necessary to provide a fault detection unit for detecting a dangerous fault condition of the skid control system and disconnecting the skid control system from an electric source. There is also provided another fault detection unit for detecting a light fault condition of the skid control system and a fault condition of a power circuit during travel of the vehicle, and indicating the fault condition without disconnecting the skid control system from the electric source. The initial condition of the skid control system immediately after power throw is checked and the indication is carried out when the skid control system is in a normal condition, and the indication is eliminated when the velocity of the vehicle exceeds a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 3997889
Abstract: In an alarm system wherein a fault detection unit and a fault indication unit are spaced away from each other, long wires for detection signal transmission and for power supply, etc., are necessary. A fault indication driving circuit is provided within or adjacent to the fault indication unit, the bias voltage of the fault indication driving circuit being determined with the use of the detection signal transmission wire and the power supply wire in such a manner that the fault indication is enabled when one of the long wires is accidentally broken or placed in poor connection condition.
