  • Publication number: 20050106570
Abstract: The invention provides high sensitivity bioassay sensor systems in which non-specific adsorption of impurities such as, for example, proteins, in biological samples is inhibited. Polyethylene glycolated particles enclosing metal or semi-conductor which is in common with the sensor material are used for amplification.

  • Patent number: 6861622
Abstract: A negative temperature coefficient thermistor includes a thermistor element containing a transition metal oxide as a main component; internal electrodes disposed in the thermistor element; and external electrodes, electrically connected to the internal electrodes. A method for manufacturing such a thermistor includes providing green ceramic sheets for forming the thermistor element; applying a conductive paste for forming the internal electrodes onto some of the green ceramic sheets to form internal electrode layers; stacking the green ceramic sheets and the green ceramic sheets with the paste to form a green compact; firing the green compact to obtain a fired compact; and forming the external electrodes.

  • Patent number: 6717506
Abstract: A laminated chip-type resistor element having minimal variations in the resistance thereof, includes a plurality of pairs of first and second inner electrodes arranged so that the tips of each of the pairs of first and second inner electrodes are opposed to each other, and the positions of gaps between the first and second inner electrodes are different in the longitudinal direction connecting first and second end surfaces. Third inner electrodes are located outside the first and second inner electrodes defining the outermost layers so as to extend further toward the inside in the longitudinal direction than the gaps, and are electrically connected the outer electrode toward the gap.

  • Patent number: 5381472
Abstract: A power source control circuit for a telephone set, includes a power source switch, a detecting circuit, a power hold circuit, and a control circuit. The power source switch supplies an external power to the telephone set. The detecting circuit detects an off-hook operation of the telephone set or an incoming signal arriving at a line. The power hold circuit holds the power source switch in an ON state for a predetermined time period on the basis of an output from the detecting circuit. The control circuit is activated by supply of the external power and transmits an extension signal for extending the ON state of the power source switch within the predetermine time period.
