  • Patent number: 7265254
Abstract: Chlorine-containing waste is processed inside a heating device, an alkali metal compound and a calcium compound are given into the heating device while the temperature of a solid phase inside the heating device is maintained at 400 to 1500° C., chlorine that is contained in the chlorine-containing waste and that has not been bound by the alkali metal compound is bound in the solid phase by the calcium compound, and chlorine is converted into alkali metal chloride from calcium chloride generated in the course of the processing of the chlorine-containing waste.

  • Patent number: 4691869
Abstract: Apparatus for controlling the operation of a grinding system having a plurality of mills running in a parallel fashion, in which the operating condition of each mill is controlled such that a predetermined physical quantity, which changes dependent on the running condition, is equal to set values for the mills, and the set value for each mill is variably controlled so as to maximize the amount of pulverized material. The apparatus includes means for comparing a pulverizing amount F.sub.A per unit time of the mill under control with that F.sub.B of another mill, and controlling the set value for the mill under control so that a difference between the pulverizing amounts (F.sub.A -F.sub.B) is maximized while the set value for the other mill is fixed, whereby the set value of the mill under control is automatically optimized.

  • Patent number: 4611765
Abstract: A roller mill in which raw material fed between the upper surface of a pulverizing table and a pulverizing roller is pulverized by compression therebetween, wherein at least one annular recess coaxial with a roller shaft being formed on the pulverizing roller, thereby attaining reduction of self-excited vibrations of the roller mill and improvement of the pulverization efficiency. Further, in order to enhance these effects, the depth of the recess is set larger than the average grain size of the raw material. Moreover, the gap between the pulverizing table and the pulverizing roller has a wedge-like sectional shape which becomes narrower toward the outside of the pulverizing table, whereby the raw material which has been pulverized by compression between the table and the roller is prevented from escaping in the axial direction of the roller shaft, thereby attaining reduction of the self-excited vibration and improvement of the pulverization efficiency.
