  • Patent number: 5235308
Abstract: A thermal protector comprises a case having a space surrounded by a bottom surface and a wall surface; a pair of fixed electrodes secured to the bottom surface of the case and located so as to be separated from each other in the space; a disk-shaped bimetal disposed in the space so as to be opposite to the fixed electrodes; a pair of contacts disposed on extremity portions of a surface of the bimetal opposite to the fixed electrodes, the bimetal being either in a conductive state, where the contacts are in contact with the pair of fixed electrodes, or in a non-conductive state, where, the bimetal being deformed, depending on temperature, they are not in contact with the pair of fixed electrodes; and inclined portions disposed on the wall surface with a predetermined interval from the extremity portions of the bimetal when the bimetal is deformed.

  • Patent number: 5183400
Abstract: A closed type compressor has a casing, a compression mechanism section housed in the casing, an intake pipe member which extends through a burring hole in the casing and which is connected to an intake port of the compression mechanism section, an annular pipe insertion member airtightly bonded to a peripheral edge of the burring hole, and a tubular member fitted into an inner peripheral surface of the pipe insertion member and airtightly bonded to this inner peripheral surface by brazing. The intake pipe member extends through the tubular member to the intake port and is airtightly connected to the tubular member by welding. A plurality of grooves are formed in the outer peripheral surface of the tubular member or in the inner peripheral surface of the pipe insertion member over the entire circumference of the surface. The brazing material is received in the grooves.

  • Patent number: 5184269
Abstract: An overload protective device to the disposed in an electric circuit serving to supply current to a load has a pair of fixed contacts provided inside of a case and an inversible disk-like bimetal of a curved shape having a pair of movable contacts capable of coming in contact with the fixed contacts, respectively. A shaft is fixed to the case at one end thereof and formed with a head portion at the free end portion. The shaft extends though a hole formed in the central portion of the bimetal. When the bimetal breaks, a circuit breaker breaks the electric circuit permanently to thereby prevent the load and the overload protective device from being burnt out.
